Change width of columns on manuscript format title page in novel project template

In the "Novel" project template, there is a manuscript format title page with two columns of text at the top. The left column contains the author's address, the right column contains the word count. I have three questions regarding this template page: 1. Both columns have the same (narrow)...

Re: Compiling to PDF: How to generate single-characer umlauts (instead of vowel plus diaeresis)?

I just found out that the problem has nothing to do with Scrivener. When I open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Chrome, or Firefox, the umlauts are fine, only when I open it in Apple's Preview or Safari, are the umlauts represented as vowel plus diaeresis. It seems to be an Apple problem. So as far as...

Compiling to PDF: How to generate single-characer umlauts (instead of vowel plus diaeresis)?

When I compile to PDF, the umlauts (e.g. "ü", Unicode U+00FC) in the resulting manuscript aren't single characters, but two: the non-umlaut vowel (e.g. "u", U+0075) and a diaeresis ("¨", U+00A8), separately. You can easily verify this if you copy text containing umlauts...

Find all files with Snapshots

Aside from individually selecting every single file in my project one after another and looking at the Snapshots column in the Inspector, how else can I find out which files have a Snapshot taken of them?

What programming language is Scrivener (Mac) written in?

I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure I have read this somewhere, but cannot locate the information. I hope it's okay to ask here (or at all):

What programming language is Scrivener written in?

Re: Right-click-delete from Binder

Okay, I get it. You won't believe it, but I've been right-clicking on the file's icon for the four years that I have been using Scrivener. I'm so used to doing that everywhere on my Mac, because when I click on the file name it happens so often that the name becomes a text field that I can edit, tha...

Right-click-delete from Binder

On my Mac, I typically delete files by right-clicking on them and then choosing "move to trash" from the context menu. Adam Jones has suggested this in his few suggestions , but it seems to have passed without notice, so I'd like to repeat it here: Please allow me to right-click > move-to-...

Running Head remains "SHORT PAPER TITLE"

In the latest version of Scrivener 2.7 (26106), the running head reads "SHORT PAPER TITLE" even when the short paper title is set in the meta data setting.

What am I doing wrong?

Horizontal distribution after same width not working

Horizontal distribution seems not to work after I made notes the same width.

Also, horizontal distribution appears not to move all selected notes. A headline (from an imported RTF file) stays in place.

Automatically compile or sync to external folder upon "Save"

I'd like Scrivener to automatically and quietly compile or sync to an external folder in the background whenever I save. Alternatively I'd like to trigger an AppleScript, Shell command or anything else upon save.

Any ideas on how I could accomplish this?

When does Scrivener update a .scriv file?

What I want to do Scrivener saves its files as RTF. I would like to use Git for version control, but Git works best with plain text files. I can use textutil to convert RTF to TXT. All I need is to automate this conversion to take place whenever Scrivener changes its RTF files. I cannot have launch...

Re: Project Targets in Sidebar

Thank you :-)

If I wanted to write a plugin for Scrivener that stores the word count into an XML file whenever Scrivener (auto)saves a project, how would I go about that?
