Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

As a way of thanks, I have also purchased a Windows license (I had a prior Mac-license). Now... I have two Scriveners on my Ubuntu: the Linux and the Windows-version. :D

Thanks a lot!

PD: ...and a happy new year already soon...

Re: Who want a Linux release version?

I'd wish a version as good the official for Mac. And, in this case, I would pay as, in fact, I did when I had a Mac machine.

Re: Problem with User Manual

I am not sure where the PDF is located on Linux, probably somewhere typical like /usr/local/lib, though. Or just dpkg -L the .deb. No, I just discovered it in "/usr/share/scrivener/bin/resources" (in Ubuntu). And I have opened it without problems (the A4 version has crashed only once by e...

Re: Problem with User Manual

Excuse me. I understand now: The qpdf crashes in both ways, from help menu and from the place I was referring to in my prior post.

What does mean "directly"? I open it from the window where it appears beside the tutorial. Clicking on it. Is there another way?

Re: Problem with User Manual

The viewer I use is qpdf. It goes fine with all the pdfs, in general. But when is activated by the Scrivener app, in order to open the User's Manual, so it crashes. My Linux platform is Ubuntu 14.04, with Unity.

Thanks for your attention.

Problem with User Manual

When I open Scrivener I see the User Manual in editable version and in pdf version. When I try to open this pdf-version, the pdf viewer (qpdf) crashes. How could be solved this issue? Where could I change the viewer (for I don't know whether this is a problem only with qpdf or a problem with all the...

Re: Extension .scriv in Linux (Ubuntu)

Thanks Jaysen and Xiamenesa! Knowing that that's normal, I have no problem looking inside the folder and clicking on .scrivx. I have asked because I thought it was a problem with my Ubuntu installation. I knew that in Mac all the apps are packages, but I didn't suppose that this package-format had n...

Re: Extension .scriv in Linux (Ubuntu)

Thank you very much for your explanation, Xiamenese. I understand now the problem. I naïvely supposed the fact that OS-X and Linux are unix-like systems meant that the format of the app had to be more or less the same. So, either Literature and Latte prepare totally different packages for each syste...

Re: Extension .scriv in Linux (Ubuntu)

You actually have to open the project file inside the .scriv folder, the one which has a .scrivx extension. Try associating that extension and see if it works. Thanks for your answer. Yes, thus it works fine... But, does it mean that I must go allways first inside the folder "XXX.scriv"? ...

Extension .scriv in Linux (Ubuntu)

How could I associate the extension of Scrivener's files (.scriv) with the Scrivener application? When I click on a XXX.scriv it is opened only as a folder . If I right-click, I see "Open" but not "Open with other application", for this extension is seen as it would be a folder. ...
