Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Sad to hear, but I get it. Thanks for the 1.9 build either way! If I have to use WINE, I'll actually get some use out of the Windows license I bought!

Re: File format changes in Mac v2.7

https://literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32266&start=15#p203327 KB says we're definitely getting the new format. Excellent. I don't see anything in that thread about when it will be but I know the Linux version takes a while to trickle down so I will patiently await awesome ...

File format changes in Mac v2.7

Is there a timeline for when there will be a Linux beta that supports the new and improved (and non-backwards-compatible) file format from Mac v2.7? I assume it will show up on Windows first and then make its way to Linux... I ask because I'm two years into a novel that I've been working on across m...

Setting targets for folders on OS X

When I want to set a word count target on a single document, I have a little target icon in the bottom right corner of the window that lets me do so. I am unable to set a word count target for a chapter (which is a folder full of documents) on OS X, but I can open the file up in Scriv for Windows an...

Project opens on Mac but not on Windows

Hello all. Hope everyone's having a good holiday season. I'm in a bit of a jam. I've been working on a long fiction thing--somewhere north of 15,000 words so far--and I've been writing on the same Scrivener project using both the Mac and PC version. I'm syncing between computers using Dropbox, so I'...

Re: What are some tips for using Scriv cross-platform?

Thanks. I guess I just figured the issues I was seeing were related to the fact that I was using it on Windows and Mac, and not a bug or something wrong with my file. It was odd: I tried to open the file on Windows and the little "new project" dialog came up instead, every time. So I tried...

Re: What are some tips for using Scriv cross-platform?

How did you transfer the project back to your Mac? It sounds like you might have dragged the .scrivx file from Windows alone, which would result in the binder structure loading without any data in it. On a Mac, the project folder is displayed and treated as a file would be, but on a PC you'll see t...

What are some tips for using Scriv cross-platform?

Hello all. I've been working on some scraps and outlines for what I think is a novella or novel. I split my time between a Mac and PC, and I'd like to be able to work on the project from both machines. I made the mistake of working with the outline view on the Mac, adding a synopsis to each point in...
