Convert 3.0 to 1.9 or how to get snapshots

I stopped using Scrivener for my manuscript awhile ago, however, I happen to need my snapshots. I cannot get them on 3.0 “release candidates” because it literally freezes every single time I use it - on any Windows device I use. The same project that worked flawlessly on Mac, and do correct me if I’...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

Of course you’re free to go elsewhere, however you and the others are ignoring the fact that 1.9 does everything needed to output top class work. Yes it doesn’t have all the ‘frilly bits’ of Mac 3 yet, but that doesn’t stop it being better than any of the alternatives available. As I said earlier ....

Re: Dissapointment in the Windows Team

Getting a bit precious there suggesting Mac users have no right to be on the Win board, aren’t we Mac users have every right to chime in when you start slagging the team and demanding ‘consequences’. Many, myself included use Mac and Win, so have even more right to chime in. I use Win 1.9, beta 3 a...

Re: Hello and a suggestion! :)

OH MY F****** GOD CAN WE ALL JUST STOP FOR LOVE OF TINY TEACUP PIGS? Yes. Same for my quite chaste God. I'm good with the pigs, though. Elenastia, I want to apologize on behalf of a couple of the people here who cannot seem to respond to a simple question without launching into their Mutually Aggri...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

There’s an issue with promises being kept, now granted L&L reaches for the stars often, which I definitely give them credit for, but maybe promises shouldn’t be made until they can actually be kept. A point was made that Win skipped a version to catch up to Mac and is still years behind Mac, whi...

Re: Hello and a suggestion! :)

Well, I wasn't referring to you, specifically, but very well, then. Pot, meet kettle. I am the only one disagreeing with you in this thread, am I not? Or are you actually jumping on the OP, in which case, is worse than I assumed? I didn’t think of this since the OP was pretty nice about it, even if...

Re: Hello and a suggestion! :)

It must be such a real pleasure to know you in person. I can say the same for you, but I didn’t go there did I. But now I will since you did, not that I think it’s a good idea to make generalizations about people based on forum posts.... But if you’re anything like you’re forum posts, I can’t imagi...

Re: Hello and a suggestion! :)

Lol you two are such jerks. I’m no more snide than you are, who obviously can’t resist making snide remarks either. Here’s the question. Am I wrong? Or do you really think L&L will add handwriting as OP is suggesting? Edit: OP, take this over to wishlist. Or email. I actually sent an email too w...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

As for demands to know how people will be held responsible for the missed deadline. They’ve apologised, stop sulking and move on. No demands. Just the irony of “held responsible”. I don’t want the Win dev fired, but it is a pretty weak statement that doesn’t hold a lot of weight. I didn’t see it in...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

Thanks for the response KB. Appreciated. I do get there are struggles on the devs side. And I understand you appreciate Scriv users defending your team, but it does not help frustration levels to feel constantly delegitimized by their defenses, so I hope you at least understand that, and I’m assumin...

Re: any news on Windows 3 version?

I use all 3 platforms so I’m not a ‘Mac user sitting there....’. I do feel the frustration of delay on V3, but I also understand the reality of developing complex software and have done so myself. That’s why I wait patiently and try the beta, and yes trust my ‘friends’ at L&L to deliver V3 Win ...

Re: any news on Windows 3 version?

A lot of us consider the L&L team not just "people we buy software from" but also friends. Nobody likes to see their friends get *personally* treated in a shabby way. Ah. So *that's* the issue here. You have a conflict of interest. Anyone selling anything can expect upset customers. I...

Re: Scriv 3 beta runs super slow

Alright, I've done basically everything at this point to eliminate this, and it's still slow. Something as simple as trying to make even a new small project windowed and then full screen actually causes Scrivener to "not respond" for a few seconds. Confused. I just installed the new beta t...
