Re: Scrivener on Fedora 20: possible memory leak, endless loop

Okay. Turns out the world has not ended yet. This leak (if that's what it is) is dependent on other things. I booted it again, hoping that passing a long a -h flag would tell me which flag would boot scrivener without preloading any scrivener documents. Instead, it launched in state. Lo, my machine ...

Scrivener on Fedora 20: possible memory leak, endless loop

I've managed to get Scrivener working on Fedora 20. I hacked the script as requested, and installed my second booting script in ~/bin. For whatever reason, the script command still won't export to $PATH (the script taken from the hack was supposed to do this), but you can't have everything. Otherwis...

Re: Scrivener 1.7.2.3 Linux beta released 22nd July 2014

:D I have native linux scrivener installed on my machine! Hooray! (For whatever reason, the Windows version no longer works in wine after a major update, and I don't feel like having an actual Windows box. ) At any rate, I have Fedora 20, running on an AMD64 box. I run openbox and KDE. Part of the p...

Re: Anyone using WinScriv under WINE …

I have a Fedora 20 system running on x86 64. LXDE and KDE handle window management. Wine won't tell me what it's version is anymore. It's called Wine Compholio? Really? They don't even bother with numbers?

Hope that helps. Thank you in advance!

Re: Anyone using WinScriv under WINE …

That would be me. But my setup has been hosed since... the 1.7 update, and the big WINE update that came immediately after. I have since lost track of the latter. Basically, Scrivener comes up, but receives no inputs. So you are left either killing it with fire (kill -9) or having to reboot your box...

Re: Which Linux distro do you use for Scrivener?

I have Fedora 16 86x64, running Openbox. It's getting long in the tooth. I've had problems with the install. I tried using Scrivener with Wine 1.5.22, but find I can't make snapshots and saving can cause crashing. This might be because because my distro is at the end of it's service life. I went wit...

 Oh! That works! :) Cool! Ignorance is an easy fix! Bugs can be a frustrating pain, so I'm glad it's not that! Thanks, MM!

"Modify" Option Grayed Out in Compile-- Bug or Feature?

Hello, I am a Scrivener newbie. This is my second go through the tutorial. I was following through the tutorial, through the compile section. It was when we were to modify an existing comple that I ran into trouble. :? Because the editor and the rest of scrivener freeze while having a dialogue box o...
