Re: Where can I find the dark mode setting in the beta version?

It is under Options, on the first options page that pops up.

Re: Dark Mode - Grey Controls

I honestly think a lighter grey, closer to white but still off-white would be a better choice for contrast, but do agree that this controls should be lightened in the next release. I also want to give a huge thanks for Dark Mode! I've never understood the trend of light themes for writing applicatio...

Re: Time to start salivating for the next release

Yay! And might I just say that the new Dark Mode is my new favorite feature of Scrivener. It said in the notes it might not stay, but I'm begging, please, PLEASE keep Dark Mode!

Re: I tried to like it. I really did.

Did you try any of the built-in layouts? It seems they need a bit of tweaking, but there are plenty of ways to get not just one, but many synopses in one pane, which when clicked load a file in the editor in another pane, while allowing you to keep the inspector open too. Or you could customize an ...

Re: [Suggestion] Dark Mode

A Dark Mode would be great. By the way, do you know about f.lux? It's amazing to avoid eye strain et al. https://justgetflux.com/ Windows 10 has a f.lux-type feature built in; it's called Night Light. You can toggle it in the Action Center. Though I suppose that's a moot point for anyone still usin...

Re: Footnotes and Chinese

Would like to jump in and say, even though I haven't used Chinese text in Scrivener in quite a while (and never with footnotes as described here) I am a Windows Beta user and would be happy to test this going forward as the beta versions with the footnote marker come out.

Re: Is this a good idea?

Surely a ”1st person narrative” can be described as a ”lowlife scum” in a discussion about writing? The forum rules about being polite are for humans, not for characters in novels. The OP did mention that this is a non-fiction memoir, so we are indeed talking about a real human and not just a chara...

Re: Scrivener 3: Word count wrong for Chinese when copying and pasting

Word count algorithms are extremely difficult to get "right" and they usually always have a different count than other programs. I copy/pasted the same wikipedia page into Scrivener 1 for Windows, Scrivener 3 for Windows Beta, Microsoft Word, and LibreOffice and every one of them gave me a...

[NB] User Added Spellcheck Dictionaries

I see that the Beta has switched to the Hunspell spellchecking system, which I think is great, as they have a much larger and more complete dictionary set than the Aspell ones. My request is simple: a UI element for the user to add their own Hunspell file into Scrivener for Windows 3, if the languag...

Re: [JH] Korean Windows Default Font

In fact, I wish better that Scrivener could support the independent setting of the Asian Text Font and the Latin Text Font in font settings of Format and Style options like MS Word. This! Because it's a problem when using other non-Latin text as well, and it's not a Scrivener exclusive problem, but...

Re: Bug - navigating via 'Go To' in full screen changes text colour

I'm also experiencing this. I haven't changed the Composition mode theme, as I quite like the new default, and the text goes from the nice whiteish off-blue to black, making it impossible to see on the off-black background.

Re: Label Colors

There is a slider for controlling the saturation of label colours when used in backgrounds, in Appearance: General Interface, Opacity of label colors when used in backgrounds. Er, there will be. It's not here yet in the beta. ;) Something to look forward to! Ah, okay. Disreguard the post I just mad...

Re: Label Colors

Well... mine doesn't even change colors when I change the label. At least by default. Did you tweak any setting to get it to do this? Just like in Scrivener 1 (for Windows) and 2 (for Mac) go up to the menu bar, click "View" then "Show label color in" and toggle where you want t...

Here's a Stylish theme if you want to use it: @-moz-document domain("literatureandlatte.com") { html {font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif !important;} textarea { font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif !important;} .common-questions__listing h3{font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-ser...
