Re: How to *KEEP* indents in the first paragraph of a new ePub3 section

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you think it "stinks". I spent an hour and half first thing this morning implementing a setting that removes the indents only from the first regular paragraph of a section in ebooks just to help you with this, which will be in the next beta. Right now, though, I'm go...

Re: Scivener 3.1 Beta

Those with crashes, are you running in English as per the beta notes? It may well crash if your language is set to German or anything other than English.

I'm away for a week now but will take a look at any reports when I get back a week on Wednesday.

Re: Scrivener 3.x Update Betas (Download Here)

Please Read Before Downloading the Beta Hello all, From time to time I will post public betas here before an official release. Please note that this will be sporadic. There will not be regular beta versions and nor will there be beta versions before every update. Generally, betas will only be poste...

Re: Why is the Compile process so impossibly complicated (read = useless) now?

You "simply" needed to know which Section Layout was being used, which you can see using "Assign Section Layouts" in the main window. Admittedly there is a little friction there, because you need to go back to the main Compile Window and look in "Assign Section Layouts"...

Re: Manage Layouts doesn't save Zoom

That would be a very odd thing to create a layout for on its own, when you can just change the zoom setting instead.

Re: Project Search not producing any results

Have you checked your search options? Click on the arrow next to the magnifying glass on the left of the search field to bring up a menu with the options. Most likely the options you have selected there are the reason - you're probably limiting the search to something not including text.

Re: Scrivener Crashes After A Few Typed Sentences. Over and Over Again.

Hi, Could you please zip up the project and send it to us at Mac.support AT literatureandlatte.com. The crash report just indicates something going on in Apple's text checking code (which handles everything from spell-checking to corrections), so I'd like to run the project on my development system ...

Re: Issue with misplaced Drop Caps in compiled eBook

Hi Gwen, Would it be possible to provide a sample project showing the issue? Thanks and all the best, Keith EDIT: Never mind, I can reproduce it, and have fixed it for 3.1. When a section starts with a quote, the speech mark and the first letter will have the "first-letter" span style adde...

Re: Compile doing nutty things with scenes

Thanks for the file. The problem is pretty simple, fortunately: you have extra blank lines at the end and beginning of some documents, and Vellum is interpreting them as a chapter break. For instance, take a look at the start of "Leroux is angry". There's a blank line right before the firs...

Re: ePub 3

The good news is that in the past week I have made a number of enhancements to ePub 3 support. Although you'll still get better results if you use styles with ePub 3, as of 3.1 you will also be able to use direct formatting and editor format, just as you can with other formats.

Re: Time Stamp

Hi, Thanks for your support of Scrivener, and also your interest in the iOS version. You can indeed insert the current date and time just like you can in the macOS version. In the iOS version, this is done via an "Insert" menu that is available at the bottom of the screen. All the best, Ke...

Re: Insertion point jumps to end after first edit of the day

Strange, I still can't reproduce it. I tried 10,000 words in page view, closing and reloading, and then clicking and editing in the document - I had no problems. If you have a lot of text, the page view may be loading the content at the end of the text, adding more pages, for a couple of seconds aft...
