Re: Apple M1 Processor

Thank you for your reply. I am left to assume that "has been tested" means that they'd encountered no issues? Yes. The most recent version (3.2.x) added full Apple Silicon support - in other words, it runs natively on Silicon (M1) machines and not under Rosetta. It's been tested on a deve...

Re: Bug: Instacrash after 3.2 upgrade

Perhaps this is utterly unrelated, but I upgraded to 3.2 in the last hour (since KB's post above), and have experienced two crashes since. Prior to that I can't recall the last time Scrivener crashed on me. Have submitted two reports using the automated crash reporter, hope they're helpful. The cra...

Re: Okay... so how DO I install Java?

That's strange. I installed Java and Scrivener recognises it. You're not using the MAS version, are you? It shouldn't make a difference, but who knows?

Re: The current line I'm editing defaults to the screen centre

Just tested this and it's working so far. You have no idea how much frustration this has caused over the years, so I'm delighted it's now behaving as I would expect. I'm still hesitant because I'm so used to waiting for the moment for it to... suddenly jump. Yeah, I'm not 100% confident of the fix ...

Great, thanks for testing, and thanks for sending the file so that I could fix it.

Re: The current line I'm editing defaults to the screen centre

Thanks for the sample project - I was able to reproduce the problem (typewriter scrolling was jerky and turning off typewriter scrolling resulted in the phantom scroll issue). I've changed the workaround - hopefully the new one will be more reliable. I believe the underlying bug is caused by the exp...

Re: The current line I'm editing defaults to the screen centre

That's strange, as I thought this was fixed a long time ago. The underlying bug is an arcane one in Apple's text system, but this is the first I've heard that anyone is still encountering it - it's fixed for me (I can reproduce it when removing the workaround code, but not otherwise).

Re: Test Scrivener's New .docx Converters

Sorry, is this a bug in the Aspose conversion only, or in Scrivener's own .docx converter too? I'm confused as this is the Scriv converter thread but you seem to be saying it's the Aspose ones. If it's Aspose, how does RTF do? (Aspose converts from RTF.)
