They do seem to be inverted - I've fixed it for the next update.

Re: Problem with importing websites after update Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4

Unfortunately there is no solution for this at the moment - 10.4.4 introduce a bug whereby web archives won't load using the standard method that Scrivener is using (this is a bug in macOS 10.4.4). I have found a workaround, however, which will be implemented in the next free update of Scrivener 3. ...

Re: More epub compile woes/bugs

The problem here is that some of the MathType equations seem to have been pasted in. Internally, Scrivener expects MathType images to have a certain name (assigned to images sent in from MathType) and only examines images with an expected name format for MathML - this is to avoid examining the data ...

Re: Announcement of 3.1.2

Sorry for the month-late reply! I missed this. The release notes are written in chronological order, so occasionally something supersedes something from earlier and I miss updating the earlier entry. In this case, the message actually now says that a "different" converter will be used rath...

Re: Arrange By Label Questions

Indeed, there's no way to arrange them without the chronological (binder order) arrangement, because without that, you wouldn't be able to drag the cards around to rearrange them any longer, since their order would no longer be represented.

All the best,

Re: Bug Report 3.1: Focus toolbar icon disabled in fullscreen mode

Thanks, I've fixed this for 3.1.2. It's such an annoying underlying macOS bug that always needs working around in the toolbar. Normally, a toolbar or toolbar menu should send its action to the "first responder", which is the term for whichever view or editor has the focus. macOS full scree...

Re: [MAC] Change default text colour in Main Editor in light mode.

I'm afraid there are no plans for this. The problem is that if this were added and turned on, then there would be literally no place in the UI where you could see the *actual* colour of the text - and given that Scrivener uses rich text, there is an actual colour. It would be odd to hide that real c...

Re: Linguist Focus on Windows version

Unfortunately, this feature is unlikely to come to the Windows version any time soon, because the technology upon which it is built is Mac-only. Essentially there is a Mac feature that allows apps to ask for all the verbs, adverbs, nouns or whatever in a piece of text, which means that my Mac code j...

Re: Current Line Highlight Color in Dark Mode

I cannot reproduce this problem. I have no problem changing the current line hight colour in Dark Mode, whether editors are kept light (using the "Light Editors" colour preferences) or dark (using the "Main Editor" preferences). Could you please provide the steps necessary to rep...

Indeed, the top item is always the current editor, whatever that may be named.

You can easily open an item in the other editor, by the way, by Opt-clicking on it in the binder.

Re: Beach ball after inactivity

Strange - we haven't received other reports of this, so I'm not sure what's happening. Is the project particularly large? Could the project be saving at this point (this doesn't sound likely but is worth asking)?

All the best,

Re: Toolbar customisation doesn't fit on screen (MacBook, 12")

Very strange! I'm afraid I have no control over that customisation panel, though, as standard Apple code handles that. Essentially, an app provides macOS with a list of what toolbar buttons are available (their icons and actions) and macOS puts them into that special customisation panel (which is wh...

Re: Tutorial - Snapshot

If you delete the blank line that "DELETE ME!" was on, the results may look a little odd - they look better if you just delete the "DELETE ME!" text and leave the line empty. The problem is that the whole thing is being cut up (based on the paragraph/clause etc selection) and pas...

Re: Word counting in French

Many thanks for the feedback (and sorry for the month-late reply). Unfortunately, this may be very difficult to fix. For word counting, Scrivener relies on what Apple's text engine deems to be a "word", which may well be skewed to English. Moreover, there is code in Scrivener to count hyph...
