Re: Stop Folder Expanding When Adding A File (By Drag & Drop)

A much simpler way is to turn the behaviour off. :) Here's how: 1. Open Scrivener's Preferences (Scrivener menu > Preferences...). 2. Select the "Behaviors" pane. 3. From the list on the left, select "Dragging & Dropping". 4. Tick "Collapse auto-expanded outline items af...

Re: No Asterix in Screenwriting Revision Mode

Hi,

No, I'm afraid this isn't something that happens in Scrivener. Revisions are just coloured text.

Re: Cover page for ebook

And it also needs to be imported as an *image* document (i.e. drag the image from Finder directly into the binder, or use File > Import Files...) - not as an image inserted into a text document.

Re: Styles in Scrivener - Move "No style" to bottom

Move "No style" to bottom because it is more seldom used. Annoying to pass by every time I need at style. https://cl.ly/05e7f3ec5b48 No, it makes sense at the top because it is the default and also affects both character and paragraph styles. "None" or the default setting always...

Re: Importing compile presets

It's difficult to say what is happening there, as I just tried downloading the format and it worked fine for me. Here's what I did: 1. Ctrl-clicked on the link and selected to download the file. 2. The file downloaded as "Scrivomatic.scrformat.txt", so I removed the ."txt" extens...

Re: PDF compile

Could you please either attach a sample project showing the issue, or email the project to Mac.support AT literatureandlatte.com? There are no known bugs of this sort, so I'd be grateful if I could test the project so that I can see the bug for myself and find the cause.

Many thanks,
Keith

Re: Styles with bullets

Styles won't apply bullets, but they will remember the bullet style so that if you apply them to a bulleted list they will affect the bullets. So you need to create a bulleted list and apply the style to it.

Re: clean html tags

The styles must be used in the text, then - Scrivener doesn't add <p> or <h...> styles for paragraphs unless they are assigned in the editor or Compile.

Re: How to put a table in the center of the page.

I'm sorry to say that there is no way of doing this. Scrivener uses Apple's implementation of tables for the standard text system, which do not allow for this.

Re: Setting default language to US English

The language setting in your screenshot is only for the UI, which is always US English (there is no UK English localisation for the UI). There is no way to set a particular project to use English spell-checking, I'm afraid, or even to tell Scrivener to use a different language from the system - the ...

Re: Scrivener crashes when I try to use the scratchpad

There is a known bug that seems to b related to the third-party folder observation code we use (this observes the scratch pad folder for any external changes). I have never seen it myself, and it only seems to affect a handful of users, but I have it on my list for an upcoming update to rewrite the ...

Re: Images look faded and have false colors

I can't reproduce this. I just tried copying some text with images from a web page, pasting into Scrivener, then closing and reopening the project, and all was fine. I do need to update this machine to 10.14.2, though (I've been putting it off because I'm on a slow internet connection for a few week...
