Re: What no save 'button'?

Why would you need that? Scrivener saves automatically, every time you stop writing for a few seconds. It has already saved before you have managed to find and click that icon.

Re: Dropbox sync not working

Sorry for the mix-up. I mean Scriverner's sync with external folder, Step 1, change the "external folder" to a folder on your desktop and not in your Dropbox folder, to see if it is the Sync with external folder that is the problem. Step 2, is your setting to backup the project first, bef...

Re: Dropbox sync not working

You need to be more specific.

Which sync are you talking about? Scrivener’s ’Sync with external folder’ or the Dropbox app’s sync with the Dropbox server? Those are totally independent and unconnected things.

Re: My Feedback from a Scrivener Trial

My expectation is that one should be able to sit down and define styles and have kind of inheritance so that I can change a master style and have the attributes that have not been overriden change as well. Okay, so the problem was that you expected something else than what you found, after having t...

Re: My Feedback from a Scrivener Trial

Maybe you should have been more precise, more to the point, to avoid misunderstanding?
I found Login’s comment accurate which probably means I too misunderstood.

’Sync -> With external folder’ only sync the Draft portion of the binder, not the stuff under Research.

What sync function? Do you mean ’Sync with external folder’?

Re: No binder.scrivproj?

How can I restore this and what "try restoring from a backup" mean? Is this referring to my own backups or automatic backups from scrivener? it refers to the backups created by Scrivener when you close the project. The location can be found under Preferences -> Backup. If the .scrivx file...

Re: Organize Projects on iPad

One can have valid reasons for wanting to further sort the active projects one DOES want to sync with their mobile device... Yes, and combining Silverdragon’s and my suggestion might be a way to find a solution to the OP’s problem. Maybe you should stop acting like a self-appointed referee or criti...

Re: Organize Projects on iPad

I know, but not syncing everything you have in your Mac is one way to suímplify the use of iOS Scrivener.

Re: Automatic Backup: similar to auto-save.

Itäs also possible to set Scrivener to backup on Manual Save, so if you know you’ve been writing a lot of new stuff and don’t want to close the project, just hit Save and you’ll get an extra backup.
Alas, make sure you adjust the number of possible backups or you’ll quickly delete older backups.

How small are you trying to make it? I checked with TextEdit and the smallest font available for Avenir is 9, and you have it set to 10.

On a Mac you change the language in system settings. Surely you know this, with your experience.

Re: Organize Projects on iPad

I have a subfolder on Dropbox called Active Projects, in which I only have a handful of projects that I am actively working on. That's the folder I sync with iOS Scrivener.
