Re: SAVE button on top toolbar please

Why?
Scrivener automatically saves the project every time you stop writing for a few seconds, and you can yourself set the inactivity-time that prompt the automatic save.

When you are done, simply wait the few seconds, then close the project. It’s already saved.

Are you switching to Evernote? Good luck! :D

Re: Writing on photos

You do it in an app that is made for manipulating images, before you put it into Scrivener.

It would be easier to answer this if you showed the whole window or the whole screen. What you are showing could be almost anything.

Re: Scapple (and Scrivenar) suggestions

What I would love to see is a grid background where I can layout the month when different branches of the project need to be completed. You can have any image as your background, so you could make one yourself. The only limitation to that is that the Scapple board has no limits. It will keep expand...

Re: Scapple (and Scrivenar) suggestions

L&L never tell in advance what they plan to implement, or when. The general answer is ”you buy the product in its current shape”.

You won’t get an answer. :)

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

I ... 'does it frustrate you that Scrivener on iOS doesn't have feature parity'? No. Not at all. And neither does it frustrate me with other apps that are available on both platforms. I use the Apple pencil quite a lot but it doesn’t frustrate me that it can’t be used on the MBP. I prefer specializ...

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

If you put a 12.9 iPad Pro next to a 13" MacBook Pro, it's difficult to argue that the productivity potential of one is greater than the other (software notwithstanding); they are both roughly the same size, they both have roughly the same user input (assuming iPadOS with mouse support), and t...

Re: Sync challenge on iPad

It has happened before that people thought they had the project in the right folder when they in fact didn’t, or that their iPad wasn’t looking where they thought it were. I have moved a lot of projects back and forth ever since iOS Scrivener was released, and I have never had any problems. If I wer...

Re: Sync challenge on iPad

Are you sure that your iPad is looking in the right directory on Dropbox? In the folder where you have saved the project on the Mac?

A detail: In the iOS Dropbox app you should see a folder, not a file. The project is a package, i.e a folder looking like a file in Finder on the Mac.

Re: A Little Laggy

As I tend to save often as part of my writing habit - and only when I am not writing, I will probably extend this to 30 minutes or more. No, don’t. If you do that it means that Scrivener will inly save when you have been inactive for 30 minutes! The time tells Scrivener how long inactivity from it ...

Do you have very many or very few subdocuments in the binder?
When the problem occurs, are you using scrivenings mode in the editor or composition mode or single document mode in the editor?

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

the lack of feature parity / lopsided relationship between desktop and iOS is at odds with Apple's vision, which appears to be all about unification rather than disparity. Well, maybe that’s why we see things differently? I don’t think the new Mac Pro suggests that Apples vision is "all about ...
