Re: Quick Reference Windows Not Appearing

Thanks. Unrelated: After using S for about 6 months every day I just made my way through all of the tutorial. I am even more astounded at what how amazing S is. It doesn't get in my way, but offers an extraordinary range of helpful options when I'm ready for them. As a software user for almost 50 ye...

Quick Reference Windows Not Appearing

I've been using the Beta for about a year (Version: 2.9.9.7 Beta (955095) 64-bit - 13 Jun 2020 now). I decided to work through the tutorial more completely. When reading the "BookMarks" document the first time I clicked on the Scrivner link "document link" in the "Opening Bo...

Applying Keywords to Multiple Documents

I wish to apply a keyword to multiple documents. Selecting those documents and dragging a keyword into the keyword pane should, I believe, do that. In my version ( 2.9.0.42 Beta (861203) 64-bit - 11 Mar 2020) this appears to apply the keyword only to the first document. I tried to search here for in...

Move Insertion Point to End of Line via Down Arrow

In most of the editors I've used there is a shortcut to move the cursor to the end of text in a document one is writing - e.g. In MSW ctrl-DownArrow does this. I couldn't find this in the latest beta (2.9.0.34) of Scrivener and miss it. I do find that Ctr-Right/Left Arrow moves it a single world. Do...

Re: Best Method to Create a Document with Many Photos

Many thanks for the clear response.

Since I do want the images in the final document I think I'll experiment with the small sections for now.

Is there a timetable for releases and/or updates?

Best Method to Create a Document with Many Photos

I'm contemplating creating a document that includes many photos. I'd appreciate pointers on the best way to do this. I can imagine: a) Inserting the Images into the text which I assume pulls them into the Scrivner files. I'd think this might slow Scrivner down b) Putting the images in a folder(s) an...

Re: Opening a Template to Edit It

on p.50 the first sentence led me to believe I could open the template. I can now see that it could have meant to start a new project, but I suggest the wording could be clearer. Here's the text that led me to think I just opened the template: Updating Templates To update a template which has alread...

Re: Opening a Template to Edit It

Thanks. Seems crude, but I guess it will work. The manual implies that it should be directly editable, but perhaps that's aimed at the Mac folks.

Opening a Template to Edit It

As will be obvious, I'm a new Scrivener uses - albeit and enthusiastic one. I saved my first template to the default location - no problem When I tried to edit it I was unable to open it. I could find it in my users folder, but when I tried to open it from Scrivener I was told it wasn't a Scrivener ...
