Re: Windows 2.9.9.9 HiDPI - Spelling Check Squiggly Hard to See

I really cannot find anything remotely resembling Scrivener, not with the superb adaptability it gives me. I figured out how to make taskbar smaller, also make it hides itself. I can see the Options buttons easily. I also made the GUI fonts smaller, 10pt instead of 12pt. The Option dialog's texts be...

Re: Windows 2.9.9.9 HiDPI - Spelling Check Squiggly Hard to See

Nope. I tested three other resolution settings, Last one squashed the screen. That's it, I can't use scrivener any more unless I shell out hundreds of dollars for a new bloody laptop that fits your requirements. https://i.postimg.cc/hfn8fFTL/capture-001-13022021-142134.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/F7xyS...

Re: Windows 2.9.9.9 HiDPI - Spelling Check Squiggly Hard to See

Just updated the Scrivener, "Candidate 17, version 2.9.9.17", and I tried to lightens the text, and just discovered now that the Options dialog box is too big, can't drag the corner nor the top down to make it smaller so I can clicks on the Apply for the new colour to take affect. The dev...

Re: Windows 2.9.9.9 HiDPI - Spelling Check Squiggly Hard to See

But I was thinking, why not make the Underline Squiggle Wavy BOLDER , more easily seen? UnderlineStyle.jpg This isn't enough? No. I discovered after tweaking a few times that when I "change the text scale" I can see the squiggle much easier, especially when I changed the text colours, so ...

Re: Windows 2.9.9.9 HiDPI - Spelling Check Squiggly Hard to See

Thanks, @AusieDoc. I agree, it can be worked around - I don't believe that this is a show stopper. The other work-around is to manually run the spell checker at the end of the writing session and correct what it finds or add new phrases to the dictionary. The default view is also more visible. My p...

Re: [LH4050][LH4233] Continued problems with Lists / Bullets - moving up/down and changing indent [RC1]

I am using Scrivener 3 Beta, latest. So far no bugs, yet. My problem: I'm using the tedious Format/ Paragraph/ Increase/Decrease Indents/ and select either Increase Indents or Decrease Indents as I needed. I looks to customising the toolbar and add the Increase and Decrease Indent buttons in the too...

Re: Scrivener 3 Themes

I downloaded and tested Scrivener 3 beta, I liked it. And figured out how to make dark mode, by clicking on the Dark Mode button in the Options/Manage, or Windows/Themes menu, it was that easy. Totally awesome. But I want black background, black skins, black everything, and only white, yellow, or br...

Re: Manage --> Theme Preferences (Color Themes for main interface)

File>Options Manage Button at lower left Already made it. Saved a file. But font are hard to find that are easy on the eyes . I set my backaground to pure black, and then changed the text colours to bright green. But hard to find fonts that look right. Thanks for the suggestion. From my OLD Days in...

Re: Manage --> Theme Preferences (Color Themes for main interface)

Me too. I wants my Scrivener dark, like old time writing with bright texts, bright green, or yellow, etc. Be nice to figure this out for my old WIndows 1 version of Scrivener, still waiting on the Windows 3 version, they say they're working on. Themes would makes it easier to just pick whichever th...

Re: Save The Cat! "The Board" Corkboard image

I don't know. I think the template doesn't work, for some reason. The file: "Save the Cat! Template.scrivtemplate" is strange. I try to open it, and Scrivener says it's corrupted and refuses to open it. I renamed it as: "Save the Cat! Template.scriv." but Scrivener says it's corr...

Re: More dictionary languages

I'm wondering about adding Australian English dictionary. Can't find it, though, so I'm using the English (UnitedKingdom) one. I changed from US one as I'm sick of their baby English. Years ago I discovered that some moron hated British and set about making up his own "American" English ve...
