Re: Pages

KB,

Uh-oh...Apologies! You are right. I have no reason to even think this being that I have not seen 2.0. I guess I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst. That is wrong of me. I still have faith. Can't wait for 2.0.

Too much cake today. Daughter's first birthday.

Re: Pages

As a screenwriter pages is key for me when writing. As I've been through with KB, the best way to use Scrivener is to write everything else in Scrivener and then when it comes time to write your screenplay use Final Draft 8. I keep Scrivener open and use that as my outline. I keep Final Draft open a...

Re: The law

Hey KB, I'm a non practicing attorney and for the love of God I use and love Scrivener too. For all my writing needs. It's Thanksgiving here and when they ask me at the table what I'm thankful for it will be KB and his program called Scrivener. Really looking forward to page count for screenwriters ...

Key Word Hud

I'm sure it's explained somewhere in here in parts at least...Can someone explain to me Key Word Hud. How it works, what it's used for?

Thanks so much.

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

KB,

You've got my money!

As for page layout when it comes to the screenwriter who uses Final Draft...What exactly does page layout mean? Will the view of a page layout in Scrivener equal a page in Final Draft?

As always, thanks.

Re: How to write a novel

Thanks. I was wondering as with screenplays there is a formal structure to follow and everyone follows it and calls it something else. I guess there is nothing like that with novels? You just write and see where it goes? What makes the end of a chapter?

How to write a novel

I am struggling with a screenplay idea and have decided it may be best to try it as a novel. I have had some success as a screenwriter but have never written a novel. Can anyone explain how to structure a novel or even begin one? I've looked at a lot of books and they talk about plot points etc. but...

Re: Question for Screenwriters

Thanks. With regards to page numbers coming in 2.0 I'm afraid we will run into a problem. Unless the page numbers are Final Draft it will not help and we are left still guessing. When I write as I'm sure most screenwriters do, knowing exactly where I am on the page count is crucial to the passing. I...

Re: Scratch Pad/floating

Okay. So it is working properly. Scratch Pad always on top. Toggle makes it transparent or not. If not it will remain on OS screen even when Scrivener is miniaturized or another screen is open on top of Scrivener.
Thanks, A.
