Would someone be kind enough to tell me how I can exclude a document from the project's overall statistical word-count? I have a document that is used purely as an outline of the main story, but the words within it seem to be getting added to the word count of my main manuscript, which I don't want....
Is there any way we can display a configured session target on-screen somewhere, like at the bottom with the word count or something? Its not major, but I'd love it if it were possible to have a target counter somewhere on screen, without having to click "Projects>Project Targets" all the ...
The most recent posting in that link is September 2018.........that can't be right surely? I saw that, but discounted it because of the last post date.
Can someone be so kind as to link me to the latest download for Scriv 3 beta? Sadly I haven't been on Scrivener in the last few weeks and its expired and won't allow me to download the latest beta update.
I've looked through the forums but can't see the wood for the trees!
I've come to the realisation that over-thinking, when combined with a lack of discipline can be fatal to the progress of one's work. We're in October now , not too far from November and the realisation that I *likely* won't finish my novel this year is rather damning. Alas I have no one to blame but...
If I have an existing project, and enter composition mode, the text colour remains black (or whatever its set to), despite having it set to override to a different colour for composition mode. IF I create a brand new scene document, then the colour of text works fine in composition mode and changes ...
When I go in to full screen mode in Windows Scrivener, I can't seem to get the text to be the colour I want it to. I've been going in to Tools>Options>Appearance >Full Screen>Text.....I figured that here is where you can choose the colour of your font. When I change the colour, it changes the colour...
Hi guy's, just a quick one. I use the Mac version of Scrivener primarily since making the transition to Mac a while ago and I have downloaded the Windows version of Scrivener to have on my PC at work to do a bit of writing at lunch times. I downloaded the most recent copy of my novel from a backup h...
Hi guys, I know there have been issues reported with OneDrive when saving live projects there, but like most other cloud options, is it safe to at least save zipped backups to OneDrive? That way they are not live files, just compressed backups going to the cloud. Or is OneDrive still rated as a no-g...
Scrivener can import a wide variety of file types for you to store in your project and access directly from the binder. So whilst Scrivener doesn't have any integrated tools for creating graphics / org charts, you could, for example: - use something like Scapple to create this, and export the map i...
Hi guys, I was wondering is it possible to create an organisational chart somewhere within Scrivener? That would allow to me to map out the various positions held by individuals within an organisation for example. Can Scrivener do this?
Yeah I had begun to think the third option might be the safest one. I've noticed that when switching between my Mac Mini & Macbook Air, if I am working from my project file directly stored in iCloud Drive, it brings up an error claiming the document is still open. So, if I have been working on i...
Hey guys, I don't think its really major but its something I wanted to ask all the same really. What would be the best "recommended" way to use iCloud Drive for keeping Scrivener projects safe? Should you put a copy of the project file in iCloud and work from that? With the backup settings...
Hi Astrid, thanks for the response. Yes as I recall when I originally purchased Scrivener through the App Store I had some initial problems getting it to work. I re-downloaded it from the App Store and installed it and it appears to be working fine. I presume updates will be handled through the Mac ...
