Re: Separate Files, DocBook, Pragmatic Programmers

Hi (Agile) Ron ! I am considering LeanPub for a technical book (on Haskell), and of course would like to use my beloved Scrivener as a Front end. As I understood, you already travelled this path. A Few Questions, if I may : - do you have now a smooth process . other references [1] I found are now ol...

Re: Scrivener <> MD<>github

thanks for this detail support, I learned a lots of new features. :D I was able to insert variables in titles, i tried - <$n>-<$sn>-<$position> - <$parentposition> but I cannot find the one I would like :( : the binder position. as far as I understand, the files synced out are (optionally) prefixed ...

Re: Scrivener <> MD<>github

2/ I wanted to add the card number to appear in the pdf, so people can find the corresponding (synced) file more easily ; by reading the pdf , seeing the card #, and then jumping to file # - I had the belief I saw somewhere an option to display this card # , I looked in compile and prefs but did not...

Re: Scrivener <> MD<>github

thanks Amber :-) I will share my tips here ,for the memory; as I find them : 1/ inserting new cards, especially early in the text ,will change all the text file ( the synced one), as the number indicate the order. as a result, a git commit is not enough, but a git add is needed, as all these files h...

I would like to share the outliner view, to share the progress, and see who is working on which section, and the status, like a dashboard will probably use the label to display the assignee, Is there any way to print the outline to a pdf ? ideally in a as automated way as possible ? context : http:/...

Scrivener <> MD<>github

Hi , I am planning to write a technical IT book with scrivener. This will be a multi hands part , and for this I would like to find a way to permit sharing, forks, and contributions. The envisages way was to sync out to Markdown, and gitHub the Markdown files pieces. so whoever want to do some contr...

Slightly Off Topic,
But, as an alternative, I tried and find if there is automator or applescript support, but haven't found.
Could you confirm positively there is none ?

Re: Scapple Beta - New Users Please Read

Just discovered today and I love it . because I can drop things as they comes, without thinking structure (first). sometimes I was using Scriver like this, ie just like a pinboard coakboard, to classify my cards (notes) along a " thought" framework ( categories). And I am doing it by chang...

compile : disable replace

when I compile for markdown, it asks every time the name of the file , and to authorize the replacement. This is annoying as I do quick release cycles, and I have not found any option to disable this "do you want to replace ?" ( and ideally to bypass the filename). Could you help ? I would...
