2 Ideas for a better Notepad

As a heavy Notepad user I quickly loose track of my notes (and I am sure this is a problem for others, too). My 2 cents for a better Notepad: 1. Automatically jump to new note titles. (Instead of scrolling a long list until you find that ”New note 22”.) 2. Cross-note search bar at top. (As soon as y...

Wish: Copy weblinks within Scrivener itself

I use the COMMAND-ALT-W function to gather research material. Afterwards, I have to add the URLs to my list of sources. Right now, there is only one way: Clicking on the URL within Scrivener, then copy the link from Safari. Could you please make it possible to right-click an URL to copy it without h...

Re: Feature Request: Random Locations

@PJS – thank you for the comment. I’m glad you see some kind of potential in my idea. It is a bit like randomly mixing paper slips (with phrases etc.) You always end up with scenarios that you hadn’t thought about. To get beyond any creative block, you have to be able to think ”out of the box” – eve...

Feature Request: Random Locations

Hello, I would LOVE this item below ”New Note”: ” New Note at Random Location ” (of the visible canvas area). Why? Because when you’re brainstorming, your creativity thrives when you don’t know where the note pops up! :-) You see connections you’d never even think about. (Just try to add a new magne...

Links not fading

Hello, I recently discovered a problem with the fade function. It seems that when you fade a background shape, Scapple cannot ”see” that the notes inside the shape are faded too: 1. Make two notes with a connecting link. 2. Make a background shape around one of the notes. 3. Command-click the bg sha...

Issue: Adding notes in reading direction

Hello, I enjoy using Scapple to make simple plots. There’s a ”problem” when adding short, connected notes in the reading direction: The note area becomes very long when editing! Let me show you what I mean: 0. What you want: 3.png 1. You make the first note: 1.png 2. You now have to make the second ...

Re: History of Rock

Okay, Amber, I see you’re no fan! ;) I couldn’t resist asking the question, though. According to some cultural scientists (most prominently Dr. Willa Stillwater), the very point of MJ’s work was to challenge our categories. By refusing to ”fit in” anywhere, he forced us to rethink the way we put lab...

The ”Fade” Function

The Fade function is great. I’ve been using it a lot to sort out complicated thought models! :) But – whenever you fade a note connected to another note, the connection between them remains black. This is also true if both notes are faded. It does look a bit odd… Would it be possible to make the con...

Feature Request: Command-Lassoing

It would be nice if one could command-lasso groups of notes. (To select groups of notes at different locations at the same times, e.g. in two different corners.)

Thanks again for developing this app; the more I use it, the more I fall in love with it!

Re: Feature Request: Word count

There’s also a great word counter widget you can access directly from your Dashboard:

It can’t be any easier!

@Mac, Keith

Thank you for your replies, and sorry for the giant image.
It wasn’t my intention to ”scream”, and I am sorry to have behaved in a rather childish way on a public forum.

Thanks again!

Re: Scapple - New Beta Available (Updated 19/03/13)

Dear developers,
I found a graphical bug. Let me try to put it simply:

When you change the style of a one-character note (”a”, ”2”), the note becomes smaller.

Please take a look at this image:
