Weird behaviour when opening PDF on iPad

Three times I've brought this up without getting any answer or explanation. So, I'll try once more with illustrations. 1. I open a PDF in the Files App. 2. I make some annotation. (fig. 1 shows what the PDF looks like in Files App on my iPad). 3. I open the annotated PDF in Scrivener iOS (fig. 2 sho...

Re: How to connect background shapes (that have notes in them)

Select the relevant background shapes (click in one of the shapes outside the notes, and then Cmd-Click the second one). Then use the commands under Notes, or the corresponding key combinations you find there.

Re: Inserting a photo in comments

If you have one image that refers to, illustrates or inspires a certain scene, you can also put it in the Synopsis, where you can choose between showing a text or an image.

Scrivener iOS doesn't work with iOS Files app. (But MacOS do. Weird!)

I have posted this before as a technical question. But perhaps it is more of a bug, why I post it again in this forum. If I open a PDF in the Files App and make some notes on it with the Pencil and then copy the document to Scrivener or import it from inside a project, the scribbled notes do not tur...

Re: Feature Requests / Suggestions

Just a small tweak I'd find helpful. In Scrivener, if I've copied a link in Safari and then go back to Scrivener to insert the link in a text, I press Cmd-L, and the saved link is magically inserted in the text-box or whatever it is called. I just press Enter, and the link is in place. In Scapple I'...

Annotate PDF in iOS Files App

If I open a PDF in the Files App and make some notes on it with the Pencil and then copy the document to Scrivener or import it from inside a project, the scribbled notes do not turn up in Scrivener iOS. But they are there when i open the same PDF (after having synced with DB) on my Mac. Seems a bit...

Re: Quick and dirty PDF annotation works on Mac, not iOS. Why?

Sorry to bump my own query. But, as it's soon been posted for a month, without any reaction, and the problem persists, I'm curious as to what causes it. As I said: Definitely not a deal-breaker, but somewhat of an annoyance. And Weird ... Especially the fact that the same PDF, once in Scrivener and ...

I share everyone's hopes for a Scapple on iOS app. But, as for reading Scapple files on my iPad, i go the PDF route – Export to PDF (Shift-Cmd-E).

As a daily user of Scrivener on a nine years old MacBook I can guarantee you that you won't have any problem using Scrivener on a five year old one. Updates to the last available operating system are for free.

Re: Adding TinderBox for Keeping Track of Things? Not really! Something else?

An additional comment. Dragging a mail into the editor is useful if you want it as a reference. If you first save it and then drag it into the research file, you'll have the full text of the mail available in Scrivener and you can open it in a split screen or, as a bookmark, in the Inspector. And, u...

Re: Adding TinderBox for Keeping Track of Things? Not really! Something else?

You should be able to drag the email into Scrivener (in the editor), and a link should be automagically formed. Yes and no. Marcoiac, you are right. If I drag the mail into the editor , I get a link. I've been trying to drag the mail into the binder. That doesn't work. I only get the enclosed error...

Congrats! Agree with everything you write about Scrivener as a toolbox for writers. But it was YOU who used the tools and YOU that finished that draft. Kudos!

Re: Adding TinderBox for Keeping Track of Things? Not really! Something else?

Yes, I meant along the lines of the latter: to be able to be link to emails that open in the mail program when you click on them. You can drag the email from Mail app into a Scrivener document and you have a link that, when clicked, will open up that email. Am I missing something here? Sounds good,...
