Re: Where did the shadows go?

Bumping up an old issue. Just wanted to say that I've found the culprit. Shadows work fine on a default background. They disappear with a textured background.

Re: Latest Catalina beta doing something visually weird to Scrivener

You wanted me to check with "something more along the lines of the main DEVONthink window, Xcode even—windows with a lot of subsections within them". Don't have any of those. The closest I could get was Evernote, that behaves exemplary.

Created a test account and downloaded Scrivener. Still the same behaviour.

Re: Latest Catalina beta doing something visually weird to Scrivener

Does it happen with default settings in a new test Mac account? How do I set up a test account? It happens with default settings in my usual account. In your main account, do similarly complex windows in other software exhibit oddities when show in full screen? Not that I've seen. Scapple for exampl...

Re: Scrivener doesn't fill full screen

Had problem with uploading screenshots. Apparently to large. New try.

@Amber: yes, the interface doesn't fill the window.

It happens also in a new blank project.

Scrivener doesn't fill full screen

First a mea culpa. I'm on Catalina /10.15-beta (19A558d). So, I have no one else to blame.

But, suddenly (after an automatic update) Scrivener doesn't anymore fill the screen when I go to full screen (see screenshots.

Is it a MacOS beta problem, or something else? Is there anything I can do?

Re: Where did the shadows go?

Funny (peculiar, not ha, ha!). Obviously if I have Safari locked to the right half of my screen, what I get if I click your link is iOS version of your page. When I expended the page to full screen, the content changed to the desk-top version, where as you say I can download the program. I'll...

Re: Where did the shadows go?

Didn’t help. Went through the process of re-install Scapple (which was quite awkward as it is impossible to download the program wo buying it again; had to download 1.3.2 and upgrade it to 1.3.3). Still no shadows though, so I’ll live with that.

No shortcut for italics

I can no longer highlight a word and press cmd-i to get italics. In the menu, cmd-i is greyed out. I can though press cmd-t and choose italics in the menu. This has never been a problem before. I have changed computer to a new MacBook Air and updated it to Catalina. This might be the problem. But if...

Where did the shadows go?

I used to demarcate my notes with a shadow. That was my default. Now I notice that clicking the checkbox "shadow" has no effect. And also, when I open old scapples, that the shadows have disappeared.

Re: Drafts

You can take named snapshots of all the documents in the draft and call them first draft. Then use the compare function while editing.
