Re: Limit the number of automatic save?

Wasn’t suggesting that was your aim Devin. ;) suggesting as a benefit to new signups as a way to get more than the minimum. I certainly used it in the early days to keep all my writing and uni files accessible across multiple devices.

Re: Limit the number of automatic save?

I have a pro account for business, however when I had the free account Dropbox gave additional free space if you referred friends.

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

Keith, I wouldn’t waste time on feeling you have disappointed ‘so many people’. Truth is a smallish number do seem to be vocally not understanding the realities of a small company developing a complex solution. Like everyone I would have loved an iOS version 2 years earlier, yet did understand your ...

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

There you have it... Every reason to buy and use the current version, and get your masterpiece finished in the fastest most productive way possible. While Keith admits to bias, he is 100% correct. I looked at every alternative there is, and found too many to be overpriced, mere shadows of Scrivener’...

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

I’m a little surprised anyone would give up on Scrivener just because of the development time for Win V3. The current version is more than useable. V3 when released will be the bonus. While I think Mac V3 is amazing, I do play around with the Win version from time to time just to keep current on it....

Re: Simple Android app?

If I understand, what you are suggesting is in fact a separate app (actually 2 - iOS and Android). As mentioned by Keith, any app that included synch would be major work. With Mac V3 in the works, and Win V3 in early stages, soon to be followed by the Android version, from Keith and Katherine’s resp...

Re: Simple Android app?

That same request was made countless times re iOS Scrivener. I’m assuming L&L’s response will still be the same. Anything less than Scrivener would not be Scrivener and would divert the limited available resources from the Windows, followed by Android full versions of Scrivener. If you feel pass...

Re: Simple Android app?

An Android version has been discussed many times - check the URL below. http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36940&p=235548&hilit=Android#p235548 The gist is, there will be an Android version eventually, however likely late 2018 if recent development timelines are ...

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

Pcgeekesq, if you spent a decade designing for Intel I’ve probably used the fruit of your labour in designs. My software experience and hardware support goes back to the IBM series 1 (next time you younger ones think your 512 Gb backup takes too long try the series 1 5 x 8” floppy in a cartridge bac...

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

Like Katherine, I have been in the Mac V3 Beta (and iOS) and found them amazing in their stability and maturity from day 1. However, as Keith has likened Win V3 to an Alpha at the very early stages I will be using that beta on non-crucial work and compiling on Mac. I've been a developer on Mac and W...

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

Can I connect a 32" 4K monitor and four 24" 1440p monitors to a MAC mini or MBP? I'm kind of used to having 23 million pixel wall in front of me. More seriously, I don't have time to learn the Apple OS, or any desire to set up shop in Apple's increasingly walled garden. It's not to my tas...

Re: OneDrive

Scrivener synching to iOS version is only supported with Dropbox.

Dropbox is the only cloud service that supports Scrivener’s file structure.

If you are going to work with iOS Scrivener either with Win or Mac, Dropbox!

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

That may be an option for those selected for the beta program. For most users one would guess another 6-12 months.

Meanwhile for those who can’t/don’t want to wait, a solid option. Late 2012 i5 Mini on eBay at good prices - upgradable, solid, reliable.

Re: Kickstarter to accelerate Windows version development?

This same suggestion was made repeatedly during the much delayed iOS development. In that case, after the failure of an internal developer to make progress and similar failure of outside contractors, Keith the developer of Scrivener for Mac, stepped in and completed it himself, more or less starting...
