Re: Why the Android Version of Scrivener is Arguably the Most Important Version (and Why it's Number 1 on My Wish List)

Devin, I agree with most of what you say, and certainly Android/Chromebook Scrivener being more akin to iOS Scrivener than the Win/Mac versions, but who knows what miracles team L&L will achieve. Having been in systems since the IBM Series 1 days and PC’s since CP/M plus worked at several OEM an...

Re: Why the Android Version of Scrivener is Arguably the Most Important Version (and Why it's Number 1 on My Wish List)

While I have no doubt a great number of people will look forward to Scrivener on Android. I do have to take issue with a number of points.. Firstly, Android apps that work on those Chrome devices that support them currently not all but eventually perhaps, from my own testing are a mixed bag. They ar...

Re: Share files between mac ios to windows 10

Which is why I stated you wouldn’t run Scrivener on them, the point was core is the same.

IOS vs Android would be a more apt comparison with petrol vs diesel. :D

Re: Share files between mac ios to windows 10

Actually TVOS and watch OS are variants of iOS as is the software that runs the touchbar on the MacBook Pro not that you could run Scrivener on any of those :D

Re: Dual Dialogue

Keith has made it clear that incorporating dual dialog is beyond resources and scope but then he sometimes surprises by finding neat additional features he can slip in even after saying he can’t - surprise and delight? I notice a number of people talking about Final Draft, though when I last looked ...

Re: Dark mode for macOS Mojave

Thanks Keith. Didn’t think to look at the blog.

Enjoying the iOS and macOS betas, obviously in parallel to current public version.

Mojave in dark mode is the ‘ducks’ and 12 does seem to bring some older kit back up to speed in performance as promised in the keynote.

Dark mode for macOS Mojave

First up, Scrivener works great in iOS12 and macOS Mojave betas. In use all appears stable, syncs continue to work etc. There has been one major problem with iOS, the Scrivener icon disappeared with the update and cannot be found. Open from the App Store works though Scrivener never appears on the r...

Re: Comparing Scrivener on 10.5 iPad Pro vs 12.9?

I have the 12.9. It’s a dream with Apple’s keyboard. In fact on a recent os trip I left the MacBook behind and worked exclusively on the iPad, including Scrivener and work communications.

Re: Handwriting recognition

i would be very surprised if there isn't some group in Apple that keeps various Newton libraries up-to-date. I've seen big software companies do stranger things with software variants and configurations that had never seen the light of day. While Apple may or may not have a future intention for han...

] Umm... last I checked, you are not a moderator. If you feel a thread needs to be reported, you may certainly do so. If you feel a topic has been done to death, you can also simply ignore it. Attacking someone who offers a serious suggestion on a topic of common interest is indeed out of line. Ple...

Re: API to enable plugins like Zotero

@Amcmo: That's well out of line. I posted a gentle suggestion, based on a decade of largely solo work on related technology. . Hardly out of line. While I understand anyone wanting to see a new feature (i’d Like Grammarly integration), once it has been discussed at length and an L&L response I ...

Re: API to enable plugins like Zotero

The whole Zotero thing has been done to death on a number of threads, and from what I can see consistently stated as outside os scope and resources by Keith and team.

Endless demanding, posturing and holding one’s breath until you go blue is unlikely to change that.
