Re: Final eBook Formatting -- The Final Touches to Your eBook

A note about adding color code to text ... Certain reading apps don't add an exception to the color code when switching to nightmode and you get black text on a black background (instead of white text on black background) resulting in "blank" pages or invisible text. For these apps it's be...

Re: Two Table of Contents

Well, the thing with Kindle-ebooks is that it's very hard to edit them. As AmberV have mentioned elsewhere is that you might want to try compile the book to an epub instead, and then edit that using an external editor. I recommend Oxygen, (I use that myself at work but it might be a bit overkill - i...

Re: Two Table of Contents

What happens if you exclude the TOC you created yourself? If you uncheck that document when compiling, you would - I assume - only get the one TOC you need.

This might also help you with the problem of it being opened in the middle of the TOC (as an answer to your next post).

Re: Table alignment and default

If you need a table, you can insert one in Scrivener. When the time comes to compile your manuscript you do so and start working with the layout - including altering and alignment of the table - in the program that does layout, like LibreOffice. Remember that Scrivener doesn't have layout functions ...

Drag the image to the Research folder, not the Draft folder.

Story Planner - nice little app

I'm sitting on the train from Stockholm, tapping on my iPhone on a little app i found in App Store called Story Planner from a company called Literautas. It allows me to plan and outline my story with tools like characters that can have different functions, inner and outer goals, add locations and s...

Re: Duplicating Research Folder

It's actually quite easy to make a new (master)folder. Just click on the big plus and be sure no folders are selected (draft, research or subfolder). Done!

Re: Crash Srrivener easily with one click in Win 7

Hi freelancemark,

This was a known bug in the first and second version and should be corrected in the last version.
I tried it myself yesterday and it no longer crashes, but on the other hand I don't have Win7 so I can't tell for sure.

Re: Dragging lots of docs

I dragged five rtf-files right into the draft-folder. Works perfectly. No need to drag them one by one.
Could your problem be related to another file type perhaps?

Re: Nomenclature -- 'WinScri'? Really?

And now to the vexed question of suitable nicknames for the two flavours of Scrivener. Why on earth would anyone want to do that? FirefoxWin and FirefoxMac? Or Kovid Goyals excellent program Calibre that's available for Win, Mac and Linux. It's Calibre any which way you use it. I've never understoo...

Re: What templates do you want in Scrivener 2.0?

Hi Keith, The one template I couldn't spot on your list is: -Bestseller- Preferably the kind that gives me a chance to settle down on the Riviera. I'm thinking More-than-one-million-copies-sold-bestseller! :D (hm, if that's not possible, then I guess I have to do some things myself) Take care, Magnus
