Re: Bug: Instacrash after 3.2 upgrade

Thanks Keith, I'll try to play around later tonight and see what results I get. With regards to some of your questions No Pandoc No LaTeX or PDFTeX Catalina 10.15.7 Does Scrivener open successfully with no projects? If so, it is probably one of your projects triggering the bug. Yes it did. I was abl...

That's handy.

For anyone else looking, L&L are good about making previous versions available, you can find 'em all here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scri ... s?os=macOS

Just scroll down past the current version.

Re: Bug: Instacrash after 3.2 upgrade

Same. Upgraded to 3.2.0 (macOS 10.15.7) and Scrivener is a no go. Just an empty white box in the middle of the screen when trying to open any project. Right-clicking the icon in the dock shows it's an Internal Error message, but can't actually see the error message. Sent in the auto crash-report. Re...

Re: 3.14 Issue with Editor position

If it helps, the line numbering thing might have something to do with the Inspector. I hadn't seen it in days, but then today I accidentally toggled the inspector off and on (sometimes my fingers have a mind of their own). Then I started seeing it again. As I was typing and neared the end of the lin...

3.14 Issue with Editor position

Scriv 3.14 (12105) Mac OS: 10.14.6 Since updating to 3.14*, the editor doesn't seem to realize that the ruler is on. This is most noticeable when using Go To | Next Document in a scrivenings session and the first line of the new document appears underneath the ruler. Likely related - when using Text...

Export Files window

Scriv 3.1.1, Mac OS 10.13.6. Just encountered something odd, The Options area of the Export Files window is huge (and doesn't appear to be resizable). Screen Shot 2018-11-15 at 2.19.17 PM.png Looks like the first time I invoke File | Export | Files (either via menu command or keyboard shortcut) the ...

Media Player - small display bug

On 3.0.3 (MacOS 10.13.6) I've noticed the Time Remaining indicator in the media player will occasionally drop a digit. It seems to happen reliably at -04:44. 2018-10-22 11.04.03.gif IIRC there's a few other times where it happens as well, but forgot to jot those down. I haven't yet seen it happen on...

Re: Spellcheck oddity with the text: "straight and narrow"

I wonder if this particular oddity has been generated because of the presumed etymology (on which Collins and American Heritage agree). Word origin of 'straight and narrow' perhaps an alteration of strait and narrow, an allusion to Matthew 7:14: 'strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which lea...

Re: I Will be Switching to Mac in August

I won't have any unpleasant surprises, will I? I switched about 4 years ago. For me the hardest things to get used to were: ⋅ Scrolling direction - I have it set to "Natural" (IIRC the default) which is opposite to the way the mouse wheel scrolled on Windows. You can always chan...

Ha, I restarted Scriv and now it's not doing it.

I'll keep an eye on it to see if I can figure out what I did to cause that earlier. :?:

Re: Keyboard shortcut conflict between script elements and styles

Quick update to this - the fix seems to have worked in the main scrivener window. But today I decided to work in Composition mode for the first time in ages and I'm seeing the same sort of behaviour. (3.0.2 / 10.12.6) In the main Scrivener window, the shortcuts are assigned to Scriptwriting | Change...
