Re: Markdown Support?

Dear Amber, Thank you once again. I appreciate your time and effort I still do not fully understand why Scrivener does not provide parity between MMD import and export. As long as, for instance, captions to plots are not translated into the equivalent Scrivener syntax, one will always have to manual...

Re: Markdown Support?

On another but related note, it would be absolutely fantastic if one was able to select which MMD features to translate to RTF upon import. My academic work is concerned with non-English speaking societies outside the Global north. Yet I write in English, which necessitates a lot of transcription fr...

Re: Markdown Support?

Dear Amber, Thank you very much for your quick and detailed response. I use Scrivener since 2011 and wrote my doctoral thesis enjoying most of the features you mentioned. And you were absolutely right if everything I am writing started in Scrivener. For a variety of reasons, foremost among them that...

Re: Markdown Support?

Hi, It seems weird to me that round-tripping between mmd->Scrivener->mmd is not supported. As it stands there is basic mmd support upon import when using the "Import and Split" command. There is a least one major omission: captions for images are not imported as such, even if one has a sty...

Inline annotations become misaligned upon export

Hi, Over the last months I reliaby run into this problem: inline annotations, which are converted into comments upon export to docx, are misaligned and appear at seemingly random order and at random places in the exported file. What happens is they seem to collapse with the next comment (in the insp...

Re: Can't launch Sente 6.6 with ⌘Y

Hi Katherine, No, I had not. Doing so did not alter the behavior. "Sente 6" works, "Sente 65" doesn't. Playing around with applescript in order to figure out whether I could call "Sente 65", it turned out that this doesn't work either. Instead I am asked to pick the app...

Re: Can't launch Sente 6.6 with ⌘Y

I came across the issue today. I had earlier replied at Sente's forums that renaming the application works as a workaround. It still does, but the behaviour is erratic nevertheless. If named "Sente 6" any version of Sente will start as expected, including the newest release. But, if named ...

Thanks Amber for this quick reply. The implicit meaning of not ticking these boxes was completely missed on me.

Re: faulty mmd produced through "Convert" menu

Hi Keith, Thanks for the quick reply. As I need italics to persist no matter what happens for quotes from languages different from the main language of writing, I decided to go for mmd in these cases. Unfortunately, I did so in the midst of a longer book project and thus encountered a lot of issues ...

faulty mmd produced through "Convert" menu

There is a reproducible bug in how Scrivener produces mmd mark-up for italics and bold text through the Format -> Convert command in the menu bar. If the closing asterix (*) are preceded by whitespace, mmd does not recognise them as proper mark-up and in consequence, Scrivener produces faulty text d...

Scrivener links in inspector footnotes

Dear developer, In the process of writing my PhD thesis, I came across the issue of cross-linking sections of the thesis. I discovered that while such is possible through Scrivener links and the <$p> placeholder tag in inline footnotes (which sounds slightly weird in my humble opinion), it is absent...

Re: Scapple Beta - New Users Please Read

Hi, I just played around with the beta and found dragging a note onto another while holding "alt" produces an arrow, which is a nice feature. But the arrow points to the original note from the note is dropped onto. This seems a bit contra-intuitive to me. I would expect the arrow to point ...
