Re: Painless alignment

Thanks for the quick response Amber and thank you for putting me right about movement mode. I had forgotten about this, and it does address my 2nd request completely. (It seems a little odd that it is an optional extra: the targeting of notes in selection mode is a little haphazard, but doubtless so...

Painless alignment

This subject has cropped up in various forms in various threads, but I felt it might be useful to make the case afresh. Scapple is a (wonderful) app that by default involves connecting rectangular bordered boxes with straight lines. It does this very easily and neatly, and for my money the styling o...

Re: Color Picker

Thanks again Amber. The swatches remain out of sync on my Mac, but only when running Scapple in OS 10.6.8. With 10.8 it behaves as it should. No way of knowing whether this is a general thing on Snow Leopard, a conflict with something else ~I have running, or just me. Not to worry, I hope to upgrade...

Re: Color Picker

Thank you very much for the super-speedy reply. I am sorry if I appeared to disparage your choice of default colours—they are *very nice* colours, they just had a slightly random feel to me, that suggested the possibility of customisation. As for the bottom ones, I am intrigued. You say that they ar...

Color Picker

I really like the Scapple color picker, but I am puzzled by the somewhat random selection of colours (5) above and (31 with 5 blanks) below the main matrix. It seems as though it ought to be possible to change these, as one can change the swatches t the foot of the system color picker, but if there ...

Re: Transferring connections

Many thanks for considering this AmberV. I believe that I do have answers for your objections. ⋅  Most of the modifier combinations are already used for the different arrow styles. Most, yes, but not all. What about Option + Shift? Currently that does tha same as Option alone. ⋅ ...

Transferring connections

Is there currently any way in Scapple to transfer an existing connection directly from one note to another. Eg: A is connected to B; you want to connect B to C instead. I believe that currently this is a two-step process: you have to detach one connection and establish the new one separately. What I...

Re: Feature request: Modifying connection style

Any chance of being able to change the colour of connecting lines via the inspector? Secondly (going a bit off-topic from this thread) any chance of being able to customise the five swatches at the top (and 24 at the bottom) of the colour palette? I completely endorse the desire to keep Scapple beau...

Re: Option-drag to duplicate items

Thanks Keith, I didn't know about the current option-drag refinement. For my money the copy drag is the more useful function (and already hard-wired into Mac users), but it's your app and I respect the care you take with it. (Besides, Cornwall is too close to Somerset for me to want to risk offences...

Option-drag to duplicate items

I would find it very useful if it was possible to option drag folders and documents in Scrivener's binder in order to copy them from one place to another, much as one is used to being able to do in the Finder. Would this be difficult to implement? I can't think of any downsides to the feature. Many ...

Actually customisable highlight colours will be available in 1.12, which will be out in a few weeks. That's great news Keith. You can't customise the original list, nor can you rename the custom colours (that will all be post 2.0 stuff), but you can use arbitrary highlight colours. Presumably this ...

Thanks for the explanation Keith, and nice to hear that scripting is still on the cards.
At least this topic will serve as another answer to the question you posted elsewhere about what users might want to use scripting for.

Well that would cerftainly explain it! Thanks Amber.
But then why does dragging Scrivener onto Script Editor produce a scripting definitions window? Admittedly only Standard and Text suites, but I always assumed that this was a good way of discovering whether an app is scriptable or not.

Scripting text colour

In Nisus I have a series of scripts to change the colour of selected text. The text of the red script runs as follows (and works fine): tell application "Nisus Writer Pro" set color of selected text of document 1 to {56540, 0, 0} end tell When I try to adapt this script to Scrivener, Scrip...
