[Beta 16] ebook (epub) export multiple malformed HTML / CSS wraps

A zip file of the project and the ebook as it was exported are up at http://sharethe.work/betaScriv/ through May 15. I usually have to clean up the ebook exports because I'm picky about my formating, and I use tables. I use the ebook editor that comes bundled with Calibre for this purpose, and here'...

Re: Beta 13 Text to Speech TTS output channel not selectable

Continues into beta 16 Yes, I am trying to use USB headset. I have not tested b16 with the headphone jack. I do have to restart the computer after installation to get the voice to start working, and it is only coming out of my laptop's speakers. I have the headset set as the default sound output dev...

Re: Per Project Personal Word list

I saw this as I was looking for some what to create auto-gen links for Characters, etc., and the back and forth I've seen makes me think there might be a way to kill two birds with one stone. Meta-data tracking that is too specialized adds complexity while only helping a subset of users. However, as...

Re: The case for Characters and Locations

I switch between using yWriter and Scrivener for similar reasons. I think it's worth pointing out that yWriter is a basic editor hooked into a meta-data tracking system, while Scrivener is a tool focused on the process of writing formal &/or long documents. Meta-data tracking that is too special...

Beta 13 Text to Speech TTS output channel not selectable

I'm on a laptop running Windows 10 Home that has built in speakers. When I plug headphones in or connect via bluetooth, the sound from the TTS still comes out of the speakers. I have tried: 1 - Restarting the application after the switch 2 - Plugging in before starting the application 3 - setting th...

Re: Help! Downloaded update now Scrivener won't load

I'm running Windows 10 Pro, just updated from Scrivener 1.7.3 to 1.9.5 in one swell foop ... and nothing. Btw, when I navigated to the scrivener folder in C:\Programs (x86)\, no logs, no log folder. I uninstalled / reinstalled, same issue. for those who need to roll back, just pointing out that prio...

Re: Text to speech in windows

I had a recent experience that made me think of a new market for Scrivener, if only there was TTS or better integration with a voice recognition system like Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The Learning Opportunities group at my college uses several types of assistive technology. Most that work with readin...

Re: Text to speech in windows

We have this on the list to look at, but it is sometimes difficult to tap into some native Windows features given that we are using a cross-platform toolkit to build it. If the system has public hooks then it is no problem, but a lot of things require you to be using Microsoft's development tools, ...

Re: Daily word count

Just throwing out a second to this request, and asking for the counts to be available as a history throughout the life of the project. I found out about Scrivener through NaNoWriMo. During the actual event I was using yWriter and the productivity reports there, as bare bones as they are, were super ...
