Re: OneDive

Thanks! I plan to store the zip backups as well as the base project files. Is it ok to store the project files as well on OneDrive? Technically they are on my MacBook HD -- but under the OneDrive folder so that they are always backed up.

OneDive

Is it safe to use OneDrive to store my Scrivener projects? I do not plan to sync or use the iOS Scrivener App or Scrivener on a Windows PC -- only on my MacBook.

I use OneDrive as a cloud backup and all user data files are stored within the OneDrive folder on my Mac.

Thanks,

Tim

Re: Scrivener User Manual Corrections

The Scrivener project download for Mac downloads the Tutorial project, not the manual.

Tutorial - Footnotes

Command clicking a footnote does bring up the footnote in a pop-up. It always opens the inspector.

Tutorial - Snapshot

Running through the Tutorial and in the section related to Snapshots. I added text and deleted texts as instructed. In the inspector window under compare the formatting is a bit screwed up. The added text is below the deleted text. The right and left arrows to move between the changes doesn't quite ...

If somebody created a theme, could it be shared?

Re: I'm losing my text

What can be done to make these kinds of sync errors far less common?

Scrivener User Manual

I assume that the Scrivener User Manual is authored in Scrivener. Would you be willing to release the manual Scrivener project file? As a fairly long document with graphics, a nice layout, table of contents, etc., I believe it would be a great example to reference.

Thanks,

Tim

Re: A creative solution for a timeline workaround

Will definitely walk through the videos and the tutorial. I've skimmed them. Some programs offer an "easy mode" and "advanced". I wonder if that might be a good option for Scrivener -- offer an easy mode such that warnings are turned on for any thing that might delete a section, ...

Re: A creative solution for a timeline workaround

Thanks Hugh. I've played around with Scrivener, but done nothing serious with it yet. I suspect that most have no issues. But there does seem to be a post every couple of months where someone has lost data. It very well be user error -- Scrivener is a fairly "complicated software" (I think...

Re: A creative solution for a timeline workaround

Thank you so much for the hints and quick preview!!! I hope that development is going well. I've seen several posts on FB over the past few months of people loosing data in Scrivener. Is there any attempt to improve "robustness or reliability" (if these are the correct words)? I do not kno...

Re: Scrivener 3.0

Thanks - I read through the other topic and was hoping with the beta closed that there would be something a bit more definitive by now.

Scrivener 3.0

I apologize if there is already a forum for this, but I couldn't find it. Regarding 3.0:

- When will 3.0 be released?
- Is there a list of new features (not bug fixes)?

Thanks,

Tim
