Re: Suggestions

Second, and this is a lot more trouble, make “stacking” a persistent characteristic. Indeed, that would require redesigning what a stack even is. Right now it is a loose definition based on the placement of items. It doesn’t exist anywhere except as a temporary state generated by the items themselv...

Re: Suggestions

I was a little confused about the padding issue. However, what I meant was when you create a magnetic shape around a set of notes, it is bigger by a certain amount, the "padding". Your choice is big for my taste, thus the idea about a preference. Not a big deal though. The cmd-drag does he...

I posted this first in Scable Beta Testing, but I am not convinced that anyone is looking at that anymore. I was using Scapple in the beta, but fell out of the habit for a while. Just finally purchased and see some easy improvements. I like it a lot. First, a very easy add that would make my life MU...

Re: Feature Requests / Suggestions

I hope someone is looking at these posts. There's no indication of it.

Another small thing that would make editing quicker is that when you click on an arrow or connection, select the two connected notes. Right now, that action has no semantics.

Re: Feature Requests / Suggestions

Help, I composed a long post and then apparently hit the wrong button and "saved the draft". Where is it? I can't find it.

Re: Scapple Beta - New Users Please Read

jmm, you may be overlooking Stack, which lines up notes vertically. It's really another form of distribute.

Re: Feature request: Add tab or equivalent to Movement Mode

I have started trying to using cmd-return and stacking for outline style notes. The current implementation of stacking does not lend itself to this type of grouping of notes as an outline. During creation it works well enough. However, once you have a stack of notes and have indented some, it is rea...

Re: Feature request: Add tab or equivalent to Movement Mode

OK, shift-arrow works well enough. I'd choose a larger distance if I could but two arrow hits is not that onerous. I could have sworn I tired arrow with all the modifier keys but I guess I missed one.

Re: Feature request: Indent multiple lines in a note

Hmmm, that made me look at it some more. I think perhaps a very simple enhancement would make it just about sufficient. When you go into Movement Mode, arrow keys move the selection a pixel or so at a time. If tab and shift-tab moved the selection a larger set amount like .25 or .5 inch, it would ma...

Re: Feature request: Indent multiple lines in a note

Thanks for the suggestions, but they seem too cumbersome. Right now I just insert newlines and tabs when I need to. Even that means you spend too much time on formatting and distracted from the task of thinking about the problem.

Re: Scapple Beta - New Users Please Read

Sounds to me that what you really want is OmniGraffle (Pro), though that costs rather more than $10-15. :) Mark I took a look. It seems nice but ... Too complicated almost everywhere Too simple in places Too expensive (pro at least) Scapple seems so close to being just about perfect for what I want...

Re: Feature request: Notes attached to connections

I thought I should comment also on the line splitting idea. I wasn't aware of this feature and it certainly could be useful here. When I have done state transition diagrams in Scapple so far, I have differentiated states by a border. The event labels that I put on the arrows are borderless, which ef...

Re: Feature request: Notes attached to connections

No, that part's not easy, as there is no concept of labels in Scapple, sorry. All the best, Keith I would not say the coding is easy, but it seems to fit into the current model quite easily if one can simply attach a note to a line as I originally requested. All the note rendering and so on would b...
