When I drag a keyword into a file in a Collection, it highlights the file as though it's adding the keyword, but the keyword isn't added. When I select some or all of the files in a Collection and drag a keyword to them in the file list, it highlights all of them as though it's going to add the keyw...
Depending on the size of your project you could reconstruct the binder structure in 1.9 by dragging and dropping separate chunks of files. If you're using folders you can convert the files back to folders in 1.9. You may well know all of these shortcuts, but in case you don't: To select all files, c...
I saw in the RC10 release a reference to "Shortcut Themes" but can't find any documentation about what those are or how to use them. Is this explained somewhere? I couldn't find it in the manual.
My recollection is that when you assigned a label to a document, there would be a color indicator in the binder for that label. I no longer see that, though I do still see it in the corkboard. Has that feature been removed, or is there a way to turn it on?
If the focus is in the left or right editor, the keystrokes Alt+N,V open the "Move focus to ..." sub-menu. But if the focus is in the Binder, nothing happens when the V key is pressed after Alt+N. Other shortcuts I tested work with focus in the binder. Perhaps this has to do with the fact ...
In RC4 when I click on the content selection drop-down it does not reveal the full contents of the binder. I've tried it in two different projects, and it's inconsistent in how far it allows me to navigate nested files. When I navigate to some files it expands out the list to show nested files. In o...
I've tried a number of themes and find the same problem in all of them except Default. I believe this has been the case ever since Themes were introduced.
I've created two custom metadata fields, one of type date named Journal Date , and one of type text named Journal Date text . I have put 3/6/20 in both fields for a particular file. If I search by selecting "Journal Date Text" in the "Search in" dropdown, and select any of the op...
I am having the same problem—as soon as I click in the checkbox for a column, the list goes away, so I have to go to the View menu and down to Outliner options for every column I want to change. I'm on 2.9.0.36 Beta (818046) 64-bit - 28 Jan 2020.
I think I'd try exiting from the File|Exit command once, and see if that changes things. I get exactly the same results when I exit with File/Exit and with the Close button. That was me. The File->Exit command closes Scrivener without closing the project (so it reopens when Scrivener starts again. ...
I've noticed this in the last two or three releases, including Version: 2.9.0.31 Beta (771012) 64-bit. I normally use Scrivener in full screen mode. I close it by clicking on the Close button in the upper right corner. When I start Scrivener again, it opens in a relatively small window (about 20% of...
When I tested this, I found that if I open a project in Scrivener, the option Format/Make Formatting Default is indeed grayed out. However, after I select some text it is no longer grayed out. After doing that, it stays active even if I have no text selected. Hopefully that will help. And perhaps it...
