Re: Session Target never resetting

From the manual: On next day opened: with unusual schedules, such as those who write well after midnight and unpredictably so, this alternate method of reset may work better. It will check against the last time you opened the project, and if the calendar day has incremented since then it will reset....

Re: Session Target never resetting

I tested this again -- over 2 days -- and the "On next day opened" most definitely does NOT work. I'm pretty disappointed and don't understand why it would not work for me/my project. Here is the sequence of events. 1. Yesterday (May 20) around 1:49 PM, I opened up the project, made sure t...

Re: Session Target never resetting

I have also tried to use the "Next Day Opened" reset feature and it has NEVER worked either. I close Scrivener after every use -- I never, ever leave it sitting open (both for backup and sync purposes). And yet, the next day, when I open the project, the session is not reset. It is very fr...

Re: How to tend toward 100% keyboard with Srivener ?

JimRac's suggestion gets you most of the way there in the outliner. The difference is, you don't use TAB to switch between the title and synopsis, you use ENTER. Type your title, hit Enter to drop to the next line, and type your synopsis. You still have the problem of setting labels/status -- I can'...

Re: Search, Sort, and Navigate to Documents by Date Last Modified

I didn't think about doing the search on just "*' to get everything -- that is a great idea, I may make a collection for this in my projects. Also, in that lengthy list of steps -- you do only need to do that once. Once you have your collection saved (whether it is searching on a date range or ...

Re: Edit-History Navigation

Obviously, the way to solve this is to offer a way in the binder column to sort by date modified, to bring up a list of the last (20) documents modified, in chronological order, and to allow direct navigation to the point in those docs where the last modification was made. Would be even better of c...

Re: Search, Sort, and Navigate to Documents by Date Last Modified

You CAN sort the search results in the binder by date last modified! I think that is what you are looking for? I do this all the time, in both the Mac version and the Windows 3.0 beta. After you get your search results, or open your collection, click where it says "Binder Order" at the top...

Re: Move left or Right, Rename

Are you using the Windows 3.0 beta? Your post mentions 2.9, but there is no Windows 2.9 version, but this is in the Windows forum, so I'm unclear. At any rate, in the 3.0 beta, when an item is selected in the binder, ctrl+arrow keys will move it (i.e., ctrl+right arrow to move the item to the right)...

Re: IPad Pro 2018 support

No, I wasn’t trying to suggest that Scrivener should do something like the screenshot. I was just correcting an incorrect statement in the thread that apps can’t use the full screen area. Many do — and NOT just games. I see this full-screen view in apps such as Drafts, GoodNotes, Kindle, Ulysses — a...

Re: IPad Pro 2018 support

No, it's not. No app can display text where the iOS is displaying the time, wifi, cell network, and battery status, and they can't display the keyboard or text at the bottom where the black "home key" line is displayed by the OS. So the only difference is the background color, with the iO...

Re: Themes are great; Ocean a hit

Agree on the themes! Great to have them in the Windows version now. So far my favorite is Solarized (Light) — I tend to gravitate to that type of theme whenever I have the option. Something about having a background that isn’t too dark or too bright white.

[LH3576] : Create new folder when binder is hoisted

I think this must be a bug. When you "hoist" the binder so you're focused on just one piece of the outline and then add a new folder, that folder gets added to the root of the binder, so you can't see it. To reproduce: ⋅  Select a section and pick View > Outline > Hoist Binder &s...

Re: Most recent change to project?

It doesn't work in Windows v16 . At least not for me. By Windows v16 do you mean the Windows Beta? I am using the beta, also version 16, and this is working fine. In fact, I redid all my steps above as I wrote them out in my original post and they worked as I expected. Not sure what might not be wo...

Re: Most recent change to project?

Not sure if this exactly does what you want, but you can do a search for documents modified in the last x days, then save that search as a collection. Then, open up that collection and sort the results by date to see the last thing you worked on at the top of the list. (Note: I've set this up in the...

Re: Beta 13 -- "Files Recovered" loading exception on support files for non-RTF docs

But I don’t quite understand why I’m getting a “Recovered Files” folder every time I open the project (sometimes multiple times a day) when there actually aren’t any files to recover! I ran into one such case when looking into this. In the meanwhile, check for subfolders at the UUID folder level, o...
