Re: UK Stage template - parenthetical

That said, my understanding is that the standard UK Stage format doesn't use parentheticals this way but rather would place them within the dialogue section in all caps, as in this example . If you follow that practice, you would still have to type the parentheses yourself and hold the Shift key, b...

Re: UK Stage template - parenthetical

Ninety-seven views and no replies so it looks like it is not possible. @tiho_d, @AmberV, can you confirm the above is not possible in Scrivener 3 with either the UK Stage template, or a custom template, i.e.: Return CHARACTER, tab, (PARENTHETICAL) , tab, DIALOGUE, return CHARACTER etc In other words...

UK Stage template - parenthetical

Does anyone know if it possible, using the UK Stage template, to go between these elements (Character, Parenthetical, Dialogue, Character) using the tab and enter keys? JOHN (distressed) Mary, where are you? MARY (sleepy) Who's that calling? If so, I would be very grateful for the settings.

Also, in the dedicated "Scrivener on Linux" sub-forum there is already a thread started by @garpu on problems with WINE 5.

Go there.

Re: Install for Release Candidate 6 hangs

. It's your right to try to install it and use it on some obscure VM or unsupported OS, but I don't see how you can fault the software for your failed experiment. I didn't "fault the software". As with my previous experience https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&...

Re: Install for Release Candidate 6 hangs

The problem may caused by the VM and not Scrivener. I have been using the betas and RC's on Wine using Linux. With the numerous betas and RC's, I have only had the install fail twice. The first time I left it until the next Beta. The second time is now. I can't update and I can't re-install. It is ...

Re: Install for Release Candidate 6 hangs

Probably unrelated, but I cannot install RC6 in Wine. I have only had an install issue once before in the RC's.

Error msgs installing B41 on Wine

I just updated to B41 from within B40. I have been using Scrivener since B38 (after giving up around B11 because of the scriptwriting bugs). The updates have gone well until B41. On installation today I received the attached error messages. I nevertheless installed B41 and it opens okay. I haven't d...

Re: [LH1865|LH1866|LH846] Auto-complete only partly works in script mode

Yes. It looks like there's an issue with converting Script Formats. Thanks for catching that one as well. I've added it. I have just tried beta 10 and the problem remains. If I open a script from Windows 1.9.x in Scrivener beta 10, the elements are a jumbled mix of scene action and general text. If...

Re: [LH1865|LH1866] Auto-complete only partly works in script mode

[Update] As stated above, I manually went through each element to change it to the correct one and after that saved the project. Upon re-opening it all the changes were lost and every element was changed and wrong. I can't make the changes stick, which makes the Scrivener beta unusable for me, at l...
