Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Did I mention how much I appreciate that L&L even released a Linux version? I do. Most companies don't have the... um... guts to even bother with it. So, thanks again. You've earned my respect, and I will be buying the Windows version in the future, as I won't be able to pay for a Linux version....

Sincerely, thank you.

I don't suppose we could ask for much more... but we're thankful for what you've done so far.

Re: Who want a Linux release version?

I'd pony up cash to have a non-expiring version of what I have now. I'm very happy with it. Of course, an official version would be nice, but as a regular Linux user, I'm pretty much used to half-assed software. Scrivener is already light years ahead of anything else in this category. I've said it b...

Re: Installation Problem : "Wrong architecture 'i386' "

It will NOT work on an ARM chip-based computer.

In Ubuntu, you have to force it to install on a 64-bit system with the following command:
sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture ./scrivener-*.deb
Hopefully it won't give you any other errors, you may have to do one or two more steps. Try that first.

I think that's what happened, they just forgot to change that little bit of code. As long as it works, no worries!

Re: BETA 1.5.1.1 RELEASED (*NEWEST - 24th Jan 2013*)

I just upgraded to 1.5.1.1, when I click "Help -> About" it still shows 1.5.0.9.

As best I can tell, it did update correctly. I'm not worried, just thought you should know. I installed it with the .deb package.

Re: Picking a monitor for fullscreen in dual-screen setup

This is generally a function of the video driver for your vid card. Are you using the built-in X multi-monitor support, or are you using a proprietary video driver (Nvidia, ATI, etc.)? Some drivers have a feature that will let you force a specific app to show on a certain monitor. Give us a little i...

I will still buy a copy of the official Linux port if/when it comes out... and I know I'm not the only one.

Re: Running Scrivener on Linux

He, just installed the Beta (in Ubuntu Studio 10.4) and I'm already loving it. Used to run yWriter, but Scrivener is so much better!

I also would be willing to pay for a non-expiring Beta. Add me to the list!
