Re: File folder meaning

The icon on that one folder shows that there's some text in its index card. :)

Quick Look crashes

Scapple doesn't seem to play well with Quicklook here (I use OS 10.6.8). I keep getting a message that "Quick Look Helper quit unexpectedly" when I do any of the following: ⋅ Click on a Scapple file alias in Scrivener. ⋅ Right-click a Scapple file and choose "Get i...

Cool!

I'm a long-time Scrivener user, but only noticed Scapple a few days ago. I've tried some mind-mapping software before, but never quite got into them; the way my head works the forced hierarchy defeats the purpose a bit. Something like Scapple is exactly what I was looking for! Being able to simply d...

Trackpad scrolling in fullscreen

This is a bit odd: When I enter fullscreen mode with typewriter scrolling turned off and no scrollbar, I cannot scroll with my trackpad. If I turn typewriter scrolling on and off, it works again; it also works if I have any kind of scroller turned on (but I don't want to). The scroll buttons on my e...

Re: No 1

The book that shaped my mental landscape the most is The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. It's been my favourite since I was a kid. :)

They try, they just aren't very good at it. Maybe a few more evening classes would help. :|

Re: Strange chapter numbers with German locale

At least yours is grammatically correct; in Swedish we get the wrong word for "one" :?

Re: Is this a bug?

It's not a bug, it's a feature! The scratch pad isn't linked to a specific project anymore, so you don't need to have any open. You can change the hot key in Preferences > General if it conflicts with something else.

Re: Full Screen Paper Transparency

I wasn't condescending, I thought you might have missed it. (No one has accused me of undue sarcasm here before, so if I've accidentally offended anyone else, sorry. I try to be nice.) Your problem, however, is that you aren't using the backdrop feature at all. The way you are setting it up you use ...

Re: Greyed binder icons in 2

That's because 1.x didn't have a "no label" option, so that really is just a white label to simulate it. Scrivener has no way of knowing you wanted to remove that particular label. :)

Re: Full Screen Paper Transparency

It's exactly where he said it was. The slider fades the paper if you have an image backdrop, and the background if you don't.

Re: Multi-Level Documents (Subdocuments) Issue

I had the same thing happen on a MacBook with Snow Leopard. Resetting the default preferences seems to have fixed it, but I haven't been able to figure out what caused it.

EDIT: Found it! When I have "Option-dragging creates duplicates" checked, I can't drag documents onto each other.
