Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

We do seem to be getting more reports here on new devices than older ones, which is odd, but it also doesn’t seem to be a perfect, at at least complete, description of the problem. My guess is that it’s more a statistical anomaly than anything. With how many people are on contracts, they tend to st...

Re: What is the fix for sync failure with ios13.1 and Dropbox?

Weirdly enough (or perhaps not, now that the two systems are distinct) I have had zero problems with Scrivener sync on the new iPadOS. It is only the iPhone's iOS 13.1 that breaks sync. Since others have posted on this thread I want to add that piece of information. David David, elsewhere it was su...

The same here now on iPadOS. Syncing was smooth on iOS 12.

Use index cards as a binder

Hi folks, Is it possible in split screen to have the index cards at the left side of the screen, and when I click on an index card, the complete text of the document is shown on the right side? Or let me ask it in another way: is it possible to use the index cards on the left side of the screen as a...

Re: "Word Lag"

That option is a bit of an oddity, as it calls the auto-completion on each letter you type after a slight delay. It may be that Mavericks' auto-completion code is slower and thus causing the lag. I would just recommend turning it off. This is definitely the solution for me. Now everything works lik...

Re: "Word Lag"

For me exactly the same. Also after updating to Scrivener 2.5 and after installing Mavericks. In the old situation I had no problems, and I haven't experienced this problem in other programs that I use in Mavericks. I work on a MacBookAir 13", I think it's a model from approximately 2010. I hop...

Re: to turn off 'new document' when hitting return

Thank you so much, Keith!
All the time it was right before my eyes in the preference pane, but I didn't look well enough.
This solution will save me a lot of time!

to turn off 'new document' when hitting return

This mistake I make a lot of times: when i'm in the editor, I hit return, and I get a new document, though it wasn't my intention. Of course, I try to change this bad habit, but it's very hard to do ;-) I wonder: is there any opportunity (maybe in 'preferences'?) to make Scrivener not create a new d...
