Re: Scapple Beta - New Users Please Read

I've also found search unreliable (sometimes Cmd-F just does not work). Also I noticed that pasting in a "clickable" URL (copied from a web page, for instance) break the XML, preventing Scapple from saving the current map. Has anybody reported this?

Re: Also in an endless loop updating a project

Hi, I'm also having the updating problem with a project... is there a new version of Scrivener I can download/try? I just see the conversion box/bar, but nothing happens-- the new project file actually gets written to disk, but Scrivener stops responding. Additional attempts to open the new (or the ...

Re: "Recovered files" problem

As soon as it happens again I'll take a screen capture of the error and perhaps diff the current file vs. the latest backup (auto at closing time). I'm currently NOT using dropbox (although I sure would like to) nor anything else messing with the Scrivener files...

Thank you!

"Recovered files" problem

I just switched like many others to Scriv 2.0, very happy about it all except for a very annoying, but inconsistent problem. I get no errors when writing or saving, but once in a while, on reopening a project I get an error report about problems with the project that lead to the creation of a "...

My only problem with the program is the name. I know from the icon and some posted note somewhere that the name stems from some odd bit of martial arts. It actually means body guard, but it's also one of the most famous (Japanese) movies of all times, by Akira Kurosawa. But I didn't know that when ...

You could instead look at the possibility of using the Services menu. Many dictionaries and third party applications use the Services menu. I expect most people forget about the Services menu because it is so bloated and ungainly. A quick download of Service Scrubber will reduce the menu to your de...

No, I'm afraid this isn't possible - and it's not possible in any other program I know of, either. It would be rather complicated - and error-prone - to make this customisable, as far as I can see.

Best,

Can I change the contextual menu?

Hi I wonder if this might be rather a "wishlist" topic. Is there any way to change the contextual menu? For instance ctrl-clicking a selection gives me the option to search on google and look up in dictionary (among others). I would like to add more options, like mail selection, look up in...
