Re: On Line Version??

How do you know there are a surprising large number of Chromebook owners who would love to use Scrivener? How many, roughly, is a 'surprisingly large number'? Whoa, you're coming over kinda high in the jerkish factor. Chill a bit, dude! Why not discuss the idea I was putting forth, not the vernacul...

Re: On Line Version??

I'm not convinced that the total number of Chromebook owners is "large," much less the fraction of those owners who are potential Scrivener users. Perhaps raw stats can help convince you? According to ComputerWorld , there's going to be about 5 million Chromebooks sold this year. You may ...

Re: Which Linux distro do you use for Scrivener?

Whoa, talk about topic creep! Although to me fair, most "What distro are you using" forum topics do end up devolving into a "Linux isn't a good desktop OS!" argument thread. Such is life. I'm using Scrivener for Linux 1.7.2.3 beta (64 bit), running on Linux Mint 17 XFCE. I am hap...

Re: On Line Version??

I can give one really good reason for an online version for a solitary author: ChromeOS. There are a surprising large number of us owners of Chromebooks that carry our Chromebooks everywhere and would love to be able to use Scrivener on them. Yes, I have a regular laptop, and I run Scriverner for Li...

Version number catch-up

I think it'd be a good idea to catch the version numbers up. Am I correct in thinking that the Windows and Mac versions (and the Linux beta) are feature-equivalent? Aside from their different platforms, they are the same program? If so, then I think it'd be less confusing for everyone to have the ve...

Scrivener working flawlessly

Just wanted to let you know how well Scrivener is running. I am using Linux Mint 12, which is based on Ubuntu 11.10. The DEB install gave no problems, Scrivener started up without issues, and I've been working with it without issues. Oh, except for the missing templates, that is. That bug just won't...
