Re: Scrivener for Technical Writers

Thank you.

This group seems to all work pretty independently, so I think I can just use FrameMaker at the end for formatting. I was looking at writing in Markdown, for sure.

Scrivener for Technical Writers

Is anyone using Scrivener to do professional technical writing, especially for software documentation (and, yes, I mean besides that the Scrivener manual was probably written with it)? I will soon start a new technical writing job where the other writers mainly use FrameMaker. I am fairly attached t...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

I know I could get my post pulled for this, and I don't mean to start a fight. I just think bad behavior deserves to be called out. "patoot", I find your posts insulting toward the employees of L&L. How can you claim to know their business or the best way to develop their software? The...

Re: On Line Version??

I would like to voice my user vote against on online version. As a user who loves the current software and is looking forward to the iOS versions, I'd like to see development bandwidth go towards those projects instead. I like the smoother performance of native apps. If Apple would relax its rules a...

Re: Ipad Mini and Writing

The iPad mini is the size I always wished the iPad was, especially while commuting on the train. When you're cramped in next to people, both the regular iPad and a laptop feel too large and like everyone is reading my screen. The mini is perfect for taking notes about what I'm reading. I even wrote ...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

Don't worry, I bet most of your users, like me, are patiently waiting. There is plenty of competition, but those apps aren't relevant to me, because they won't sync as smoothly with Scrivener as this app will. You set expectations for early this year, so I think you've done the job right. ;)

Re: Scrivener won't load (OS X 10.8.1)

If it's helpful info, Scrivener starts normally for me on 10.8.1 on an 11 inch Macbook Air (mid-2011).

Re: Best keyboard / case combo for writing on iPad while commuti

It's too bad the MBA is out for you. I sold my iPad and bought a MBA instead. I was constantly hooking up the bluetooth keyboard for writing, so I figured the MBA would be a better choice. I couldn't love it more. It's almost the same weight and dimensions as the iPad, and I use it while commuting b...

While I can't give you a recommendation, I can help you rule out one. The Origami, while still a pretty cool case, isn't stable when typing on your lap.

Thanks. I was a few minutes behind you. You're fast. :) I had just come back in here to delete the question.

Re: Is there a way to export Synopses?

Related to the original poster's question ... Compile gets you the text, but can you export the titles and synopses in a way that allows for importing that back in to replace the current outline? I think that would be too hard or confusing if there is content in each item. I would do this during the...
