Re: Windows 3 release

Beobuck here. Your replies to my complaints have convinced me to be more patient and not be bitchy. I NEVER suggested Lee and Tiho be fired, but I would appreciate an encouraging word now and then. If I wasn't a big fan of Scrivener I would not be so eager for the new version.,

Re: Windows 3 release

Beobuck again. I want it understood that I consider Scrivener my friends and look forward to working with them. But it's a poor friend that says I'll meet you at a particular time and then never shows up. Also, I don't want to hear, "Quit your bitching, Beobuck, you can always use the beta. Wel...

Windows 3 release

When last I communicated with Scrivener, after they missed the Aug. 31 release date, they said be patient, it will be "weeks not months." It's now going on two months with no release in sight, and no information about how the work is proceeding. What gives? I can't imagine any other compan...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

If Scrivener for Windows 1.9 does everything I need it to do, why all the hype about Scrivener 3? I have nothing against Lee and certainly would not want him to be fired or lose pay. But don’t forget that he said several times that he expected to be held fully accountable if he didn’t make the deadl...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

Lee always says he takes responsibility, but the ones who really will be paying the price are the customers, like me, whose writing deadlines will be missed because the Scrivener Windows V. 3 they had counted on for their projects is not available by the promised date.

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

I can’t describe how disappointed I was to learn yesterday of yet another missed deadline, another broken promise. And as for the developer accepting responsibility for this, what does that mean? Does it mean he won’t get paid, a loss of income? For me it does mean a loss of income, because as a pro...

Which will it be?

The suspense is intense: which will be released first, Scrivener 3 for Windows, or Trump's tax returns?

Inline annotations

I recently discovered inline annotations, tried it, and said it's great. But then it stopped working; got nothing with ctrl+shift+A. Sometimes got the red bubble with windows key+shift+A, but usuually not. And this is true with my other computer as well. Is there something I'm turning off? What gives?

Re: Overstrike

Whenever I hit the insert button on my keyboard of my two computers, I still just get insert mode, never overstrike mode. Weird.

Re: Overstrike

What I'm referring to is not overstrike. It's the feature found in every word processing program I've used that toggles between overwriting and inserting. One replaces an existing character when the key is pushed, the other pushes the existing character ahead. It's hard to believe Scrivener would om...

Overstrike

I've been using Scrivener for Windows for several months and like it, but I regret the apparent lack of an overstrike function on the keyboard. Am I missing something?
