Bibliography

I have been using Scrivener for several years now working on a "magnum opus." The time has come to organize all of the endnotes I have been creating. I t became clear immediately that Scrivener is missing two features that would make this task possible - without using external tools, that ...

unresolved issues in betas

Hello,
1 - The latest beta still ignores the "show invisibles" option. It must be manually deselected and the reselected every time.

2 - The spell checker still does not learn new words, or at least it continues to underline them in red.

Re: What's happening after January 31st?

Well. if you work cross-platform using the Windows beta is not gutsy, it's essential. Mac has already converted the projects. The beta is the only way to work on them. In light of that it's nerve racking to get the new beta on the very day that the previous one expires. That's what happened last mon...

[LH2738] Learn Spelling doesn't

The auto spell check highlights words. Some should be in the dictionart but aren't like millennia. If I choose "Learn Spelling" it doesn't, ever.

[BB] non-breaking space

Non-Breaking Space (Ctrl-G, Ctrl-W) Inserts an space character which will prohibit word-wrap from dividing two or more words from each other. For the purposes of word-wrap, it will consider a sequence of words separated with non-breaking spaces as a single word. Nice but it has NO effect - does noth...

[LH2662] Show Invisibles problem

When Scrivener starts and Show Invisibles was checked during the prior session, the option is still checked but the invisibles are not shown until it is unchecked and checked again.

[LH214] Scrivener always starts maximized

Hi, I'm starting Scrivener from an app that then sends a ^S every 10 minutes because you don't support saving state, just changes. ProcessStartInfo startInfo = new ProcessStartInfo(textBoxAppName.Text); startInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Normal; p = Process.Start(startInfo); The app does not...

Re: [BUG] Backups not being created

This is going to be difficult. It appears that it is intermittent. After opening and closing the app about 10 times, it suddenly began behaving correctly. Time will tell...

[BB] Backups not being created

All backup events enabled except "backup on open."
No backup is created when I "Save" and no backup is created when Scrivener closes.

First time user and already have feature requests

Of the first three things I tried to do, two of them are not available: 1 - ability to set the background of a not to transparent rather than white and the ability to enlarge a note vertically without having to hit the return key a bunch of times. This would allow me to create Venn diagrams, which i...

Feature request - Touch .scriv when saving

I have an urgent request since the current code is getting into trouble continuously. When Save is invoked, please "touch" the .scriv folder to update the notification time. Now, when I look at the file manager I see only old dates on the folder, not the newer dates on the files within. Th...

Re: Incomplete: Scriv > MMD > LaTeX [FIXED #5]

This sounds like exactly what I was looking for. I've only got two questions. 1 - I have scoured the compiler window and its sections and I can't find a trace of anything called a Latex pane 2 - Is the meta-data section to which you refer the "Project meta-data" or the compile meta-data. I...

Re: Incomplete: Scriv > MMD > LaTeX [FIXED #5]

You 1st need to install the MMD support files, as stated in point 2 of my post. These are only necessary if you like to use the TeX templates files from Fletcher (who is the author of MMD). As Lee stated, Scrivener now deals with the default templates in the TeX distribution so you don't need these...

Re: Incomplete: Scriv > MMD > LaTeX [FIXED #5]

Hello, The instructions say: Copy the MMD subfolder from Scrivener/docformats and its contents to the tex/latex folder of your MikTeX installation, f. e.: but- there is no MMD folder within Scrivener/docformats so- I apologize for being dense but what do I actually need to do to complete this step? ...
