Re: How do I get rid of the German interface

Pretty easy:

1. Open "Einstellungen".

2. There, on the 1st tab "Allgemeines" is a dropdown field "Sprache".

3. Change that from "Standard" (that uses your Mac's langugage setting) to "English" and you're done.

HTH.

Re: Changing to Scrivener for Mac

Backup for my MB Air 2012 11" (128G) is: a 1 TB USB3 drive partitioned 2 x 500 at home, a 1 TB USB3 drive partitioned 2 x 500 at work. When I plug any one in (alternating each day / each other day), SuperDuper and TimeMachine start to do their work. A No-brainer. I tried to backup over the air ...

Re: Software for Comparing / Annotating 2 PDFs on split screen

Thanks Robert and Tacitus for your ideas!

Seems that there's something in the making here:

(Look at the last comment)

If the developer adds that "drift" factor, it would be a good investment, I think.

Software for Comparing / Annotating 2 PDFs on split screen

I'm relatively new to OS X and have to do some correction work: on the left side of the screen I need scanned pages from an old book edition, on the right side the newly set text (InDesign PDF), and I shall find all the typos. Is there an app that supports such work with synchronized scrolling, savi...

Re: Mavericks?

Tabbed windows? You need a 2 window interface to handle files effectively - so path finder has to stay on my machine.

Tags? Great, I *hope* they are OpenMeta - did anyone get a piece of information about the kind of tags maveriX supports?

Re: blank line between paragraphs - multi markdown syntax

There seems to be a little mistake in Ioa's code - using it would literally set the parskip to 8 pt - which is probably not what you want. Since the standard LaTeX classes have a parskip=baselineskip, you would instead have to use \addtolength{\parskip}{\baselineskip} That should add a "standar...

Re: Make the Board "TapaTalk" aware?

Hi Ioa, on iPhone now I installed ForumRunner. It finds the L&L forums but it complains about the supporting files being outdated. Could you, please, update them so that the forums work again with ForumRunner? (((Or, install Tapatalk support?))) [[ducks and runs]] TIA and Kind regards, Franz-Josef

Nearly right: DT Pro = multiple databases, DT Pro *Office* = OCR ... so nothing tempting for your paperless office in there :-(.

You don't have to import/export anything. Just work on with your project on the Mac.

Re: Automatically sync simplenote (and others)

Scrivener odes indeed use version 2.x of the Simplenote API, so it's not that Scrivener is using an outdated API. I never had any Simplenote probs with Scrivener on my Mac - I just wanted to point out that the Simplenote problem was temporarily and only with one App on my Windows machine. I think S...

Re: Automatically sync simplenote (and others)

The real problem with Simplenote is that lately syncing is totally screwed up. Used to be so reliable, it's been weeks that syncing has been hit or miss. No longer an option when a cloud service is unreliable. Evernote is VERY reliable but it's a pain to export stuff in non html format. It's doable...

Re: MMD/Miktex (windows) asks for a file?

This is most probably a problem of your MikTeX installation.

Start the MikTeX package manager, look for the "memoir" package and intall it.

Re: Simplenote Sync Error 2001

I also had random server problems with Simplenote, but only when using ResophNotes on Windows, but not with nvALT on my MacBook. BTW, they got that nailed down to an old server / API problem, and a Resophnotes update solved the problem (for me). Perhaps Scrivener also uses the old API and old databa...
