Re: Lost writing due to faulty syncing

As I wrote earlier, I am syncing both DevonThink on macOS and DevonThink To Go (iOS) through a third computer, a custom-configured WebDAV server running on an Ubuntu-formatted old iMac. The syncing is being done in every direction flawlessly, with open documents everywhere. I am pretty positive the...

Re: L&L Website appears broken on iOS

Just a note that the original problem highlighted by silverdragon persisted for me on iOS until today, when I followed scshrugged's cue and used the Clear History and Website Data for Safari in Settings on my iPhone. All menu buttons are now working again.

Re: Will iOS Scriv Work in iPad OS?

Written (though clumsily) with love and respect and a from-the-bottom-of-my-heart sense of care. Slàinte mhòr. Pardon my American ignorance, but does Slàinte mhòr translate to a Noodge? 5 seconds on Google would have answered that question, and saved you from conforming to the stereotype of America...

Re: Any other sync options on the horizon ?

What makes you think that Scrivener is reaching "an ever-smaller cadre of users"? Do you have inside info on sales? Take a summer holiday Lunk. You’re going to give yourself a hernia protecting Scrivener’s honour. 1. The developer takes (well-earned) early retirement in the near future (o...

Re: Guidance re working between Scriv3 and Scriv2

And it goes without saying that you should also be keeping a current backup/duplicate of your Scriv 3 project somewhere other than on your ailing machine. Because even though your plan sounds good, you will still want that security. It does indeed, though I appreciate the reminder 8) . I have sever...

Guidance re working between Scriv3 and Scriv2

I'm looking for a little guidance, any insight would be much appreciated. My laptop (running latest Scriv3) has decided to act up at a pretty critical stage in my current project. The keyboard has become temperamental. If it decides to quit working altogether, I have a much older laptop (mid 2010 13...

Win Scriv update - Connection Closed

I'm trying to update WinScriv from 1.9.9 to 1.9.12. When I click on download update, I get a message in the update window stating "Connection Closed". See screenshot. I don't know why this is happening, and the guys in my IT department are also unsure. Could it possibly be a firewall issue...

Re: Scrivener 3 Overruns

When I was working with project targets, I used Scrivener's inbuilt ability to calculate a daily target. so for the sake of example I set an overall manuscript target of 80,000 words, and gave myself 80 days to complete it. On day 1 I had to write 1,000 words. When I hit that target, I got a notific...

Re: Portable Scrivener

For the rest, you can only hope that when LAP and Tiho_D have got v. 3 out, they may find the time, energy and possibility to code an android version of some kind. But I wouldn’t hold my breath! Mark Actually, it looks as though their breath wouldn’t need to be held all that long! From the latest b...

If you read just three posts upthread, you'll see that it is Scrivener that is forcing other apps to also implement the bar.

Re: Argument for abandoning Mac and PC development

The title is not mine. That is not what I am proposing. Well, in essence it is. Lunk, I don't think you are reading the arguments presented at all. JoRo, I disagree with the majority of what you're saying, but appreciate the thought behind it. I'll also reiterate a point I made before- the "si...
