Re: [RC5] Copy/paste does not copy proper indentation

Just as an update, the same issue is also present in RC6 (2.9.9.6 Beta (937253) 64-bit).

Re: Pasting Text Ignores Margins - Release Candidate 5

If I copy any text, or even a table, from anywhere in Scrivener and paste it somewhere else, then margins are ignored and the text is moved flush with the left side of the page. I have the same problem. In my case it's related to the Scrivener doesn't copy/paste proper indentation issue. I hope it ...

Re: Cannot change background of Binder highlight, giving hard to read text

Just to add a bit more information to this thread, the issue also makes it impossible to tell if a folder has contents and if that folder is open or closed:

Spoiler: that 'Old' folder is a collapsed folder with content.

Re: [RC5] Copy/paste does not copy proper indentation

I don't want to ask for too much, but I'd love to hear a reply from the Scrivener team. Because for me this issue breaks my copy/paste workflow. And is thus pretty serious, rather than a visual glitch or something. I thought I already put time and effort into the opening post, but if you need more i...

Re: [RC5] Copy/paste does not copy proper indentation

I think this behavior is as we'd want it when the selection range begins within the boundary of the indentation. Thanks for your reply! But I disagree. When I copy two indented lines, I want them to show just as they are indented in the original source. I don't want to copy extra things, just to ge...

Re: [Bug] Extra space after "v" in Arial

Since I use Arial for all my texts I had to check this issue myself. :) I can confirm that it also happens on my computer (Windows 7 64-bit). It initially didn't happen with my default zoom level, but I noticed that LHunt's picture is relatively small. So when I decreased the zoom I also noticed a l...

[RC5] Copy/paste does not copy proper indentation

Hi Scrivener! On Version: 2.9.9.5 Beta (909024) 64-bit, when I copy/paste, the line indentation is not properly copied over. That probably sounds a bit too abstract to be helpful, so I've made a recording to show what I mean: > Direct link to video (.mp4) Let me know if I can give more information, ...

Re: Very slow first startup of the day

Because the delay is before Scrivener has actually opened the project, I suspect the installation is corrupted somehow (not sure how, but things happen). One other option, depending on what type of SSD you have, you might try running a full scan of the drive itself to rule out some underlying probl...

Thanks for the replies!

The projects are on my local SSD drive, so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Very slow first startup of the day

Scrivener 3.0 Beta is very slow to start up. I timed it today and it takes 28 seconds (!) after double-clicking the Scrivener icon before I get the 'this beta version expires on ...'-message. Additional details: - Happens with version: 2.9.9.4 Beta (899097) 64-bit. - Occurs with every of the 6 proje...

Cannot change background of Binder highlight, giving hard to read text

In the Appearance -> Binder -> Colors settings, there's no option that makes it possible to change the background colour of the currently active document in the binder.

As a result I can barely read the name of the currently active document:

Re: [Bug] [B40] Spelling mistakes when ` (backtick) followed by punctuation

Aspell is a GNU open source project, if I remember correctly -- so in theory, they can figure out what the cause of the issue is, patch the version they're using, and send the patch upstream for inclusion in the main release. That actually doesn't seem needed because Aspell already supports Markdow...

Re: [Bug] [B40] Spelling mistakes when ` (backtick) followed by punctuation

Aspell may be flagging these because the following punctuation should be inside the quotes (be they backticks, single quotes, or double quotes) according to the grammar rules of the language you are using. So the problem is why does Aspell consider backticks quotes? I see your point and I thought t...

Re: [Bug] [B40] Spelling mistakes when ` (backtick) followed by punctuation

However, backticks are not quotation marks. As far as I know, they shouldn't be considered as part of any spelling rule with respect to punctuation. True. Regular Scrivener (1.9.7) doesn't consider them spelling mistakes: old-scrivener-backticks.png Neither does Microsoft Word: backticks-microsoft-...
