Some random notes about the crashing. Perhaps folks having the crashing problem can experiment with this. I've discovered that I can make this happen if my editor zoom settings are set to 125% and I click on a folder or doc in the binder panel while in scrivenings mode. You are right! My Scrivener ...
Since this issue probably affects more apps than scrivener - have you tried to set up a different display profile for your display, with adjusted gamma, constrast and brightness settings?
The keyboard shortcuts for Navigate / Go To / Next Document [ALT+SHIFT+DOWN] and Navigate / Go To / Previous Document [ALT+SHIFT+UP] open those documents in a split screen.
This is a super cool development! I've been looking for a concept mapping tool (explicitly not a mind-mapping tool) for Windows and Android for some time. The closest I found so far is VUE ( http://vue.tufts.edu/index.cfm ) which is really bloated and too multi-functional Looking forward to future d...
I do know of the binder window in full screen, it caused me to make that wish. Personally I'd wish for the title to be shown in a more convenient way if the user desires so. Just like the title of a scrivening is on top of the text in editor view, or like the title bar of a window in a desktop opera...
Wow that must the most concise reply I ever got! @1. That's great, looking forward to it @2. For me (others might see this different) the full-screen view serves as a distraction-free Writeroom / Darkroom like writing environment. Putting a floating window on top of it defies its purpose. Ideally, f...
Hi, I have three wishes for features which would greatly improve Scrivener for Windows for me: 1.) Show titles in Scrivenings 2.) In full screen view, show title of document and titles of its parents Why: so you will be remembered what to focus on. This will also be of great help when switching to n...
It's been some time since you posted your question, but as the behaviour I encountered is still the same, let me continue: Invisibles were off. I just checked again and the problem occurs in the newest beta as well, and it depends on having a [space] after the last word of the broken line or not. E....
It is great to see how much Scrivener for Windows has advanced, big kudos! At the same time, there are two rather simple improvements which I am waiting for since I ever got Scrivener, which are not in the new beta it seems: 1.) Show titles in scrivenings 2.) Show titles in full screen The lack of t...
To reproduce this: 1. Set paragraph to 'justify' 2. Type [a word] [SPACE] [a word] [:] [SPACE] 3. Type [SHIFT]+[ENTER] 4. the two words will be spread over an entire line, i.e. one is at the very beginning and the other at the very end of the line Once this occurred it is not clear how it can be und...
At this moment I wonder how you have your documents structured - is it text documents inside folder documents, or are they at the same level of hierarchy?
Magycmyste, I just checked again in Scrivener for Windows 1.0.3, with the settings Text/Text > Single Return Folder/Folder > Page Break Folder/Text > Single Return Text/Folder > Single Return, Footnote separator: Single Return, compiled to .docx and the output is fine. It also works if Folder/Folder...
I had the same problem. Then I went to Compile > Footnotes > Footnote Separator and set it to 'Single Return' instead of 'Page Break'. Maybe that also works for you?
