Re: Alternatives to Scrivener for iPad

Thanks to all who replied. You have some good ideas, one of which is to simply use Scrivener on my MB Air. I think I will go with that one until Scrivener becomes available on I-Pad.

Thanks again.

Alternatives to Scrivener for iPad

Since Scrivener is not yet available for the I-Pad, what writing software currently available on I-Pad would you recommend?

Scrivener for iPad

I have probably seen this question here before, but I forget the answer. Is there a version of Scrivener for the iPad?

Re: Data transfer

Thanks to all for your help. It looks like the USB stick might be the best idea.

Data transfer

I just purchased a new MB Air. I need to transfer Scrivener files from my old MBP. Can I do this myself, or do I need to take both of them to the Apple store? I have an ethernet cable if that would be needed.

License number

Where can I access my license number? I purchased a new Mac and I need to transfer my materials to the new one. I keep hearing about the receipt, but I don't seem to have that anymore either.

Transfer to new computer

This is probably an old topic, but I haven't found it. I just purchased a new MBAir and I need to transfer Scrivener from the old MBP. How do I go about it?

Re: Scenes

I found it. Cmd-K divides chapters into scenes. Thanks for your help. You gave me some additional ideas.

Re: Scenes

Not sure if that is what I mean. I am looking for a keystroke that will create a line in the text, and will create new scenes below the chapter, beginning after the line in the text. I have seen it done.

I will fiddle with it some more. Thanks for the help.

Scenes

I have a question, for which there is probably a simple answer. I know there is a way of creating scenes while working on chapters with a keystroke, but I have forgotten what it is. Please help, anyone.

Web-based writing apps

I have been looking at web-based writing programs like Yarny and Fast Pencil. The idea is to be able to use them on any computer, Mac or PC, at any time. They seem a little lean in features, but they are serviceable.

Has anyone used either of them yet? How are they?
