Re: Books on writing

Thanks so much for recommending the Copula Spiders book. I am only a third of the way through and already think this might be the best book on writing I've ever read.

Re: Lock layout?

This is true, but I never have this problem with other applications, and I do with this one for some reason. I don't know if it's just easier to grab and drag on this app, or if it's the positioning (since I usually have the inspector open), but I am continually grabbing it incorrectly. I just wante...

Re: Windows version?

I'm definitely in on the Windows version! I've looked at all that is available and it isn't anything I would ever use. Two fingers crossed! Could you set up some sort of notification thing people could sign up for? That way I won't have to keep checking yearly to see if this has happened or not.

Re: Lock layout?

Perhaps I should be more specific. When I say main window I mean the window I type my novel into. There is a scroll bar on the right side of that window. Any time I use my mouse to grab the scroll bar I somehow manage to grab it in just the right spot to shrink the width of the window instead of jus...

Re: Lock layout?

I try and move the scroll thing for the main window, but grab it incorrectly and wind up changing the width of my main window. If I could lock it in place that would be very helpful.

Re: Multiple Binders in a single project?

Hello - I can’t help you when it comes to the binder question. I haven’t ever heard of anything like that but I am also not the most experienced Scrivener user. I will leave that to someone else to answer. What I can tell you is how I do things. I am writing an epic fantasy book. My setup is to use ...

Lock layout?

Hi-
Everytime I try to scroll, I wind up changing the width of my main screen. Is there any way to lock the layout in place?

Re: Books on writing

These are what I consider to be two critical-to-purchase books on writing. They are "The Art of Dramatic Writing" by Lejos Egri and "Immediate Fiction" by Jerry Cleaver. Without these two books I think I would be completely lost. Now I feel like I have a strong concept of what I ...

Re: Organizing Research Notes in Scrivener

Hello, Just thought I'd recommend a software program called myBase by wjjsoft. It won't allow you to organize your information by 3x5 card like you want, but it is designed for collecting massive amounts of research. The software has tabs at the top for different subjects (as many as you want) and a...
