Re: No support for 4k?

The others presumably are not the ones with no answers to their posts? The users who have lost work and not received any assistance? There seems to be few unanswered posts on the mac forum.
Be assured it is not the ever helpful Scriv users that come here and do their best that lets the side down.

Re: No support for 4k?

Prolly wasted your $40. Scriv for windows seems to be in the backwater. The Mac version steams ahead, although we have been assured that the windows version will eventually have the same bells and whistles. However, most current users will be sucking on arrowroot biscuits and dribbling their tea by ...

Scratch pad resize

I like the scratchpad. A useful tool, but it is another resize nuisance. Although the scratchpad itself remembers a resize, the space allocated for file names is way too big and defaults to the same size always demanding half of the space available.

Re: How to set indent for speech, but not for paragraph?

Hello Kieranvyas, If you set an indent of say 0.5" under Options/ Editor in the graphical format box then your first line will be indented. From then on if you don't want the indent hold the left shift key when you press return. This will then send the cursor to the left margin. When you want a...

Re: How to Convert Trial Version to Paid Version

Hello Piyushavir,
Probably easiest to uninstall your Camp NaNoWritMo version and then download the trial version here on this site. That can then be converted to full version as you will easily find the place to enter the serial number.
Good luck.

Re: Grammar/Spell checker for Scrivener for Windows

Someone needs to grow up. There is no long term lurker. Starting an alias to post when you are already registered and posting is immature. The silly miss spelling of Brian instead of Briar does not impress. How about using the forum for its actual purpose.

Re: Grammar/Spell checker for Scrivener for Windows

Hello LinnyP, Have to agree with you on the spellchecker. Just to let you know that ProWritingAid works well now with Scrivener. You can load up your project and it remains in the Scrivener format, binder and all. I have nothing to do with them other than being a user of the program. I find it very ...

Re: Installing a British English spelling dictionary

Hello Cromulent, You might want to check the program before having a bit of a rant " (which seems utterly ridiculous). I've checked the manual and there is nothing listed in it." Go to Tools / Options / Corrections and select British English. Here is the part of the manual you didn't check...

Re: DESPERATELY TRYING TO FIND MY FILE!

Hello forgetmenot, Open scrivener with any project. Click on options and look in General. Make sure the 'Show full project path in the title bar' is ticked. This will show ( top of screen on left) where your projects have been saved. Alternatively, if you still struggle, click on options and then Ba...

Re: Tutorial: two versions?

Hello Michael, By quickstart do you mean the ability to go straight to the last project opened? If so, you may wish to take a look at Tools/ Options/ General and tick or untick the two top boxes. Here you can begin with the start panel, so you can select which project to work on. Alternatively, you ...

Re: Text in the comments pop-up is tiny

Hello Manilov,
Tools/Options/Appearence/Fonts/Comments and adjust the font size there. Be aware that it will not affect existing comments but those made after you select it. It alters both the comment text in the editor and in the inspector.
