Re: AppleScript: what do you want to see in the Scrivener Suite?

Not so much Apple Script but related: enable the user to run applescripts/ scripts from either an application menu or an icon on a customised toolbar. See OmniOutliner for example.

Tokens and Codes

I have just come back to Scrivener after using version one some years ago. I now have a copy of version two and am attempting to add paragraph numbers to my compiled output. I remember that I use to add codes to the main text which were converted on compile to the required numbers. Is this still the...

Automate getting a clipping from Safari

Hi, Recently I was wondering if I should be using an application like YoJimBo or DevonThink to help manage my "stuff". I conducted some research, reading a number of reviews and one concluded that of all the apps tested the tester would be using Scrivener. This was quite a surprise to me b...

I have just increased the space on my drive to 8.5 Gbyte and have to admit that adobe Light Room has become alot more useable. However, I still liked the way the BBC micro had software on plug-in chips. It seems to me that each time I get use to a system and its features the bigger and better upgrad...

Jenny, I have an Automator workflow which is a posh name for a script that copies my scrivener project file along with other important files in the same folder into a zip archive and then onto my thumb drive. I have attempted to attach a simplified version to this post. Save the file to your machine...

Oh how time moves on. My first computer had a massive memory of 33 kByte and no hard drive. So I find that getting down to 1.7 Gbyte might be a problem a little of a backwards step. While I can imagine that my system might run slightly slower Scrivener is basically manipulating text files (well in m...

I have sent an email to Keith but here is some more information. If I empty Scrivener's trash before the full compile scrivener does not crash. Restoring objects from the trash sometimes causes Scrivener to crash, this might be related to the project auto save feature but I am not sure. If the compi...

Crash on Compile

When I attempt to compile everything that is in the draft folder the compile takes an age and then Scrivener crashes. I suspect that the crash may have something to do with all the virtual memory getting used as the available hard disk space gets reduced while the compile is taking place. Simon K He...

SpinningDoc, I tried the replace styles in Mellel but my Scrivener document had a list of 10 or so styles. I was unable to work out which one needed to be replaced. Is there any way of selecting all characters or paragraphs that have a certain style applied?

Keith - I'm confused. I have one open project and I switched W&O to off via the page setup menu. Is there another place where there is a switch? I've looked but not found anything.

Av,

Thanks for the information. I have attempted to process the file but Mellel provides a list of 10 styles all with long text descriptions. Unfortunately it is not possible to identify which is the style that I need to edit.
