Re: Windows 10 and Opening Previous Scrivener Project

This reply assumes you are using Scrivener Ver 1.9 *** Win 10>Cortana>File Explorer>View Select Details>Add Columns (name, date, type, size, etc.) Check the box for File name extensions. Play around here until things look right for you The Scrivener project files should be in a dedicated folder wher...

Gee whiz, Folks. Haven't you gotten fed up with hearing about this and similar/related issues yet??
Surely someone holds the whip and has a grip on the correct end.

Thanks

Re: Scrivener very slow moving between functions

Just peeked at save options and somehow it was set at 2 seconds. Reset to 30 seconds. Do not remember what a reasonable setting would be. Ideas??
Checking briefly I believe that small change made a difference.

Thanks

Scrivener very slow moving between functions

Win 7 with 8 gigs ram and whatever else people recommended. Program loads fine and opens projects okay. It hesitates for seconds at a time when moving around within the program. Moving from a chapter heading to open the cork board for instance. Moving around between any different operation makes the...

Re: Scrivener won't open after closing without PC reboot

Go To Learn and Support
Go To Common Questions
Find Scrivener For Windows
Select "See All"
Look in Column on Left for Fixing "Not Responding" with Compatibility Settings
Select This Line and follow directions.

So far it has opened for me a number of times. YMMV

Re: Scrivener won't open after closing without PC reboot

How far back in version updates does one have to go to avoid the "Paddle Effect?" I am a long way from home and a working version and need a solution. You can't, really, because the old license service is no longer operating. Hence the need to upgrade to the version that uses Paddle inste...

Re: Scrivener won't open after closing without PC reboot

Used Scrivener for years on this Win 7 machine now experiencing same no start attitude. Delete program, download, reinstall, sometimes loads on start up and sometimes not. Is this a version update thing or something else?? Not sure what has happened to the Scrivener we used to enjoy working with. St...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

Please devs and support team, don't listen to the few drolls swirling around the otherwise very friendly and tight forum. I am very happy to use the beta version which helps me tremenduously in my daily work. Please take your time developing the software. Rushed jobs only result in mistakes, disapp...

Re: What is the best program for all purpose writing? Grammarly? Scrivener?

I write articles and product descriptions for industry sites. I have written articles and reviews for gaming sites and music review sites. I would love to finally start writing that novel. What is the best program out there right now? Primarily, I will be writing daily 1,200 word articles. But I wo...
