Re: Different computer, files and operating systems.

Hi, I noticed you’re using a different version of the OS and was wondering if are you using different versions of Scrivener as well? Also, look in your dropbox and make sure that the Bok-1.scriv is actually a folder and not a file. It sounds like it is from your comments but turn off your 7.2 comput...

Re: Confused

Hi, Do you have your chapter folder and notes folder under the same parent folder? By using scrivenings and full screen, Scrivener shows everything under, or in, the selected folder. There isn’t a way at this time to “hide” certain files from displaying in those modes. To accomplish what you're tryi...

Re: shortcut key for bullet lists (or automatic lists!)

Sorry, had to go to dinner... On the Mac side, use these keyboard shortcuts... 1. Make sure Scrivener is the active window. 2. CTRL+F2 to access the menu bar. 3. Start typing FORMAT to get to the format menu and then press the Enter key. 4. Start typing LIST to get to the list menu and press Enter. ...

Re: shortcut key for bullet lists (or automatic lists!)

The only way I've found to do this on the Windows side is to use the menu bar keyboard shortcuts. Make sure Scrivener is the active program and then... Press the ALT key on your keybaord Press the R key Press the L key Finally, use your arrow keys to choose the list style you want. It's a little qui...

Re: Compile with HTML Headings

I have not found a way to do this either. Maybe there's it's on the list to be added.

Thanks, Chris

Re: Struggling with Layout issues

I am running 1.0.3 on a high resolution screen. Enlarging fonts to a readable size was a cinch. Except for the Binder. Cannot find an option to increase font size for collection titles. Collection tabs are so close together that it makes navigation cumbersome. Hi StefanG, you can change the font si...

Re: Slow file handling

Hi Zornhau, this is always a tricky subject. I have only written a few large tech manuals over the years using Word and it was notoriously slow when I had all of my images and 80k words in it. I really like Scrivener because each chapter so to speak is a different file which makes things move along ...

Re: Web pages import issues

Hi fabart, I'm playing around with web page import features too and will let you know what my results are. Maybe there's a workaround for a few of your problems.

This also might in the works as far as a program update goes so don't give up on it just yet. :D

Thanks, Chris

Re: Auto-Correct

Hi, the only way to make Scrivener ASK you about the change is to uncheck the "Correct Spelling errors as you type" box located in Tools -> Options -> Auto-Correction Tab under Spelling. Then you'll need to go to the menu Tools -> Spelling menu again and have it check your document each mi...

There is hope for me after all!

I am new to writing and always thought people had to write 8-12 hours a day to finish a novel while working a full-time job. I found Scrivener and was happy to read that writers (some published no less) write only 1000 words a day or set a timer to write an hour or so per day. That's comething I can...

I want to apologize too, I know better than to tell someone how to code their program. A little over zealous I guess… won't happen again. :D

Re: Copy as HTML

Sounds good to me MimeticMouton. I see the BR when I compile to a web page (.html) so that's why I thought of putting it here too.

I also agree that CSS is the better way to go to handle this issue and glad it's on the list.

Thanks, Chris

Copy as HTML

Hopefully this is an easy one. In the latest windows version, copy as html and copy as basic html do not create a blank line as it appears in the binder. Could you add a <BR/> tag inside and at the end of your <p> tag in the HTML code that's pasted? For example, this is how it looks in Scrivener: I ...
