Re: Outline format & printing...

1. Not sure what you're asking here. The Outline and Binder both have very similar amounts of indenting on my system. 2 and 3: Have a look at the File -> Page Setup -> Scrivener -> Outlines tab, which configures the options for the File -> Print Current Document command. Katherine 1 - OK, I now see...

Outline format & printing...

Long-time user and lover of Scrivener! I wonder if the new version 3.0.3 will allow me to do the following: 1) Is there some way to make the Outline view better match the Binder in terms of indenting Text docs beneath Folders? 2) Is there an easy way to print out the Outline view with these indented...

Re: Find Command Glitch?

Curiouser… I just discovered that some files are hindered in the above way, while most are not. And I can convert a misbehaving file into a well-behaved one simply by duplicating it inside the project. Maybe the reloading of Scrivener didn't really do anything, or perhaps a glitchy Scrivener applica...

Re: Find Command Glitch?

Perfect, downloading a fresh version of Scrivener did it.

Thanks.

Re: Find Command Glitch?

Year-old MB Air, running running OS 10.8.5 and Scrivener 2.5. When I switch to the black HUD style for QR windows, I do NOT see the the search wrap symbol at all. However, the behavior I see exactly matches that of the search wrap code getting hung up somehow. This does not seem to be affected by wh...

Re: Find Command Glitch?

Yes, of course, the focus was in the edit window when I tried to Find something in that window. I did just discover that in QuickReference windows, when you use the Find command, it will only find things from the beginning of the file to the end. But once at the end it WILL NOT go back and start loo...

Find Command Glitch?

There seems to be a Find command glitch, where in some instances it will not find the search word even though it is definitely in the file being searched. I first had a Scrivening open and locked in the editor. Then I opened one of those files in a QuickReference window and the Find command wouldn’t...

Re: UPDATE: "Untitled Document"

However, if you really want empty spaces, there is an easy solution: just enter a single space character for the title. This will prevent the "Untitled Document" placeholder from appearing, and it will also be future-proof. The problem with this solution is that every time I close and reo...

Re: UPDATE: "Untitled Document"

Yes, that can be done, but it is a long ways from the visual clarity and Zen simplicity of: Snap 1.pdf And this compared to Scrivener’s most recent version change: Snap 2.pdf I humbly submit that this new visual change to Scrivener is poor interface design. This is a writing program after all, clutt...

Re: occasional type size errors into Word (docx)

I've also been having a problem compiling to both Word and RFT and then opening the document in Word 2008. The font was all mashed together in some strange way. When selected the text and then selected the typeface it already was set to, Times New Roman, it reset the type and it was fine. I upgraded...

Re: Double-spaced text in Apple Mail?

Many agents specifically request "double-spaced" lines as easier to read.

Courier is the standard font for manuscripts, the mono-spacing makes it easier to see typos and estimate page count.

Another feature request for which Scapple is not designed...

Brilliant App... It might be even Brillianter with the ability to have text hidden behind the notes, and then being able to import this outline/mind map/Scapple into Scrivener with the notes text becoming text item "titles" in the Binder and the hidden text behind becoming the text content...

Re: Lost a week's work

Well maybe it doesn't apply to all configurations, I've left Scrivenings open for many weeks w/o closing, not always the same set of files, but certainly the same set of files for days and days and days.

Could I have been "saved" by having my auto save set to 2 seconds of inactivity?
