Re: [LH2802] Keep Binder Hidden when Advancing to Next Document

Thanks Amber! I can get along fiine with shortcuts. Lunk, I don't know if composition mode would work for me because the binder contains quite a number of deliberately short, discreet documents. Each contains one step in a long procedure. I've windowed Scrivener to reveal only one doc at a time so t...

[LH2802] Keep Binder Hidden when Advancing to Next Document

If I have hidden the binder and inspector panels so that only the document is in view, the binder panel reappears when I click on the "next document" carat. I want the binder to remain hidden until I summon it. (I'm using the latest Windows Beta but uncertain if the issue is Beta-related.)...

Re: Spell Check Mishandles "e.g.,"

Possibly a false bogey. Purely by chance just after posting I realized that I had installed both the demo and beta versions of Scrivener. After removing the demo version, the spell checker seems correctly to handle "e.g." Sorry for any confusion caused. K

Spell Check Mishandles "e.g.,"

For the string "e.g.," spell check locates "e.g" and tries to correct it with "e.g." yielding "e.g..," kraml

Re: Identify Entries in Binder by Keyword

Hmmm. Create a function that assigns an arbitrary (system defined) color to documents in the binder list containing keyword "x" only when the user calls that function? That's just a layman's way, of course, of articulating a "simple" solution. Granted, it's way, way more complica...

Identify Entries in Binder by Keyword

I'd like to have a way simply to identify (highlight) entries in the binder by keyword. Leave the structure of the binder untouched. Simply highlight those documents to which keyword "x" has been assigned. I sometimes like to see where I've implanted a theme in the overall flow of thought,...

Dictionary Location?

I "okayed" a mis-spelling in my spell check. What file do I edit to clean it out? Thanks! K

Cancel. Found it: [home]/.local/share/data/Scrivener/Scrivener/wordlists.ini

Disable Compile, Word Count, and Visibility for Arbitrarily Selected Docs and Notes (and portions thereof)?

A couple of wishes for controlling word count, compile, visibility: I want to eliminate portions of a project from word count, compile, and even to eliminate their visibility (hide|unhide), in any combination, arbitrarily. By portions, I mean something as small as a string of text in a document. The...

Re: Scrivener 2.9 (WINE-related)

Then I could try installing it on my main computer, which is still 32 bit only. On a scale of 1-10, how stable is it? Have they gotten compile operational yet?

Disable Flyover?

Can we disable flyovers for footnotes? It's becoming annoying, mainly because I have so many footnotes. So I suppose it's my own fault. Thx, k

Re: Scrivener for Windows on WINE. Recommendations?

FWIW: the latest 1.x version of Scrivener seems to be running fine (limited testing) on Linux Mint MATE 18.2 (64 bit) under the most recent stable wine (2.0.2). k
