Re: Compile problems with front matter

As for the cover issue, it looks like cover images for pdfs was a more recent addition to the Mac program that was not present when it launched. I am unable to say whether or not that ability will be added to the Windows version before or after launch. Hi Bryan, Just to say that I have tried your w...

Re: Compile problems with front matter

Hi Manni, Neither. I have reproduced the problem and am working on finding the cause for your font issue. It appears that creating a new document with the font does not reproduce the issue, but the copying the document does. In looking at the file itself there appears to be a second font attached :...

Re: [LH3614 | LH3790] Compile error: some linked sections in the compiled document (PDF) start with <$rst_scene>

Hi Clive, Thanks for your thoughtful post. I will try your suggestion and will update the relevant thread if it produces any result. [EDIT: I checked, both options were on default already, I applied, restarted and the Special Elite font issue is still there]. [EDIT2: I also tried Bryan's workaround,...

Re: [LH3614 | LH3790] Compile error: some linked sections in the compiled document (PDF) start with <$rst_scene>

@Narrsd: thanks for taking the time to investigate this. Yes I do generate the TOC manually (by selecting all the sections I want to have in the TOC in the binder and copying them into a Table of Contents section). Unfortunately I can't make any manual changes after that, because we're publishing no...

Re: [LH3614 | LH3790] Compile error: some linked sections in the compiled document (PDF) start with <$rst_scene>

I'm just checking that they are not forgotten, or that there isn't another reason that prevents these from being fixed. The devs themselves have said that if it has a bug number assigned, they aren't going to forget it. They also don't tend to share with us the internal details of why one bug is pr...

Re: [BUG] Formatting issue (start on a recto page ignored) when compiling to PDF

Yeah that might help, there are probably other conditions or settings that impact what happens. I was using an extremely basic compile format I've created to test bare bones settings---you might have more complex settings enabled, like widow & orphan protection for example. Yes, I do have widow...

Re: [LH3614 | LH3790] Compile error: some linked sections in the compiled document (PDF) start with <$rst_scene>

FYI, if the bug number [LHxxxx] is not listed in a new version's release notes, then that means it wasn't fixed in that release and you don't need to post that it's not fixed. You have said so many times, and I can read, so when you see such a post from me, it means that you don't need to post the ...

Re: [LH3614 | LH3790] Compile error: some linked sections in the compiled document (PDF) start with <$rst_scene>

Still not fixed in beta 30, which means that the PC version is still unable to compile a TOC properly here. Re: [BUG] Formatting issue (start on a recto page ignored) when compiling to PDF

Hi Amber, Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is still happening for me in 3.1.4 (12105). If I compile with the "full" page, no blank page is added and the section that should start on a recto page starts on a verso page. If I add a blank line, a blank page is added, but with header/footer, whic...

Re: [BUG] Impossible to select all the sections in scrivenings

Any progress on this? The "text tidying" command is still not available on binder folders selection, and this bug has still not been logged.

Thanks for providing an update :)

Re: [LH2548] Error importing lists from macOS version

Still no checkmark option in the list menu on the PC version with beta 30, hence all imported lists with a checkmark are converted to bullet points on display in PC. This means that it's still not possible to compile a document using the PC version if it has check marks in lists. As the file itself ...

Re: [BUG] Weird issue when bold and italics on the same line when compiling to EPUB

I tried to apply the emphasis character style (Format/Style/Character Style/Emphasis) but that didn't work right away. First when you apply it it gets rid of the bold, then if you apply bold over it it looks fine in binder (similar to italics+bold) but compile only applies emphasis, so italics only....

Re: [BUG] Weird issue when bold and italics on the same line when compiling to EPUB

Thanks but in this case I'm writing non-fiction and it is important to be able to have both bold and italics in the same line.

This certainly shouldn't cause the issue I'm reporting.

I'll try your emphasis trick and will see if it solves the issue.
