Compiling linked multi-page pdf inserted as image tag to RTF

I am trying to get a multi-page PDF to compile to RTF but only the first page is exported, so I am wondering if this is a current limitation or I am doing something wrong. I've: - inserted the multi-page PDF in scrivener research with File > import as alias; - inserted that file with a image tag in ...

Re: Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

Still haven’t got the time to check Scrivener 3 as it deserves :)

Re: Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

You get a preview in the sidebar if that is what you really want, but if you want to modify or edit this thing (which evidently has no connection to any data in Scrivener and is a complete disconnected data model that has no inherent benefit in being in Scrivener) then you double-click the bookmark...

Re: Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

I think bmsc... was just saying that each doc would have its own map space -- in the same way each doc has its own document notes. That is, in the OP's wish there was no suggestion that the nodes in the maps relate in any way to the Binder structure. That was, I take it, the whole point of his/her ...

Re: Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

Hi again. Nice discussion here :) Well, I also dont advise into making Scapple hierarquical like the others. Thats not its point and I ike its free form way of working. For hierarquical mapping, I use another app. I just wanted a more direct - aka lazy - way of working in Scapple inside scrivever. A...

Scrivener + Scapple ... writing and mapping on the same application

Hi everyone. Maybe this is just a wild thought; a complicated endeavor; still, here it is. I'd love to be able to push my analytical thinking inside Scrivener, without having to resource to another dedicated mind-mapping app. My feature request (developers behold) would be to have, in each binder it...

Re: Compiling RTF w/ page-based footnotes+chapter based endnotes

You're welcome :)
Now I must find a comprehensive way of adding pictures and tables in Scrivener, while making use of the several TOC's NWP allows.

Re: Compiling RTF w/ page-based footnotes+chapter based endnotes

Thanks for the reply. I also posted on Nisus forum and found something that can be useful for Scrivener users who want this particular formatting in NWP. Not straightforward but simple enough: – compile in Scrivener as RTF, checking "Export inspector footnotes as endnotes" (that's my parti...

Compiling RTF w/ page-based footnotes+chapter based endnotes

Hi, I am having trouble figuring out to make this work. I am trying to compile a Scrivener project to a format for further editing in Nisus Writer Pro, which supports: 1) page based footnotes, at the end of each page; 2) chapter based endnotes, at the end of each chapter; I intend to use both: 1) fo...

Working with *.scriv files inside Devonthink database

Hi all. I am trying to re-organize my digital life using Devonthink, and was wondering if there is any drawback or problem with storing scrivener "files" inside Devonthink databases: storing, opening, modifying them (using Scrivener). This would be a "database inside another database&...

Save search as collection when choosing "binder selection"

Is it possible to do this? 1) select a folder in the binder; 2) search that folder for a particular word; 3) save that search as a collection? (1-2 is possible, but if "search binder selection only" is active then "save search as a collection" is grayed out and not selectable... ...

Wish: automatic highlighting

Hi :) I am using Scrivener as a research tool, together with Sente (reference manager) and PDF Expert (iPad reading / annotating). Sente has a handy feature which is automatic highlighting of certain words / expressions in the "Notes" sections of each reference. For instance, some words th...

Seems they indicate that there is content in those sections. Never realized that. Scrivener keeps impressing with details!
