Re: Scrivener 3.0 is useless.

I agree that compiling in 3.0 is much more complicated and counterintuitive than in previous versions. But at least it is doable (with lots of help of external apps, and lots of time lost, but still doable). What's completely broken, is Writing History, which unfortunately was the reason I bought an...

More than two years later since I first reported this bug nothing changed: the words keep disappering.

Re: iCloud Sync

Could you explain what are the good synchronization habits? I still cannot figure it out. - - - So, what am I doing wrong and what would be these synchronisation habits to develop in the case when someone has to switch between computers several times a day? It seems to me that your initial question...

Re: Scrivener seems to be struggling with "Downloading file list"

For the record: 1 active project, 1 text document with about 5 sentences.

“Downloading file list” screen took 7 minutes 20 seconds.

Re: iCloud Sync

If you fail to synchronize the iPad, then go somewhere without WiFi, I'm not sure how it's Scrivener's fault that the iPad doesn't have the most current version of the project. In this context, "good synchronization habits" would involve being sure to synchronize before you go somewhere t...

Re: iCloud Sync

Yes, simpler apps sync in a simpler fashion, but not instantly. You have just been happy not to have any hickups with those, yet. ;) Scrivener does not need ”ideal” circumstances. Just some common sense. You asked for ”good habits” and that’s what I described. I am not sure that other apps can be c...

Re: iCloud Sync

Well, I still don't understand why you use the term "slowing down", - - - The fact remains: when I'm outside the ideal circumstances, the ultimate app dedicated for writing cannot be used for writing, while everything else still does the job. I say "slow down" because you need t...

Re: iCloud Sync

No, real world is what you do with it. It’s not about what happens when you’ve left. It’s all about what you do before that. It’s all about giving the Mac time to finish things before closing it down, and to sync the iPad after that. And vice versa when you get home. Sync the iPad Scrivener immedia...

Re: iCloud Sync

I don't see at what moment exactly one has to slow down. We are talking about a situation when we are outside and want to write. Oh, that’s a simple question. You just need to remeber to sync your iOS Scrivener once you get back home, or wherever you have WiFi, and not to open the project on the Ma...

Re: iCloud Sync

kewms: 1) It is on Autoclose. It does not help much, since sometimes it still fails to close, and, more importantly, you have to remember exactly when you used the mac for the last time: was it 55 min ago or 1 hour 03 min ago? And, even more importantly, closing the Mac version does not force the iP...

Re: iCloud Sync

If you are so concerned about synchronization conflicts that you are "afraid" to switch devices, you should probably take a closer look at your synchronization habits. (And yes, we're happy to help you do that.) I've been working back and forth between iOS and Mac OS since iOS Scrivener w...

Re: How can I compile a Table of Contents with Level1 titles only?

I cannot figure out how it works in Scrivener 3. The documents I don't want to include into ToC, are assigned to a section with "Hide entry in HTML table of contents" on. Indeed, if a "Generate HTML table of contents" option is on, then this extra-ToC is generated correctly, with...
